good time?

I'm thinking about booking a trip to Disney for this time next year, because I really would like to see and do all the fun Disney holiday fun things. So with that said, I've only been to Disney in September when it was completely dead, not a line in sight, and now I'm wondering how the crowds are for this time of year? I was thinking the first week of December, but I'm good with the whole month... I know it's crazy busy the week of Christmas though. Thanks for all your help.
