Good Thoughts needed.......dh at job interview...

Dh has been out of work since being laid off last October - he has a very promising job interview today.

It is starting to take it's toll on him - he spends 8 hours a day sending resumes and looking for a job. In turn, it's starting to put a strain on us because of the daily stress/depression he has been feeling due to his inability to find a new position.

Please send some good thoughts his way.......

Best of luck to him! My DH looked for a job for 2.5 years...YIKES! Now I've been downsized 3 times in the past year and a half, but strangely, it looks like I may finally be able to get some work I can do at home and also some tutoring (I am working towards my M.A.T. in Early Childhood Education). I hope everything works out for the best for you all!

Interview lasted 2 hours and he feels very positive about it. They are interviewing all week so hopefully we will know something soon.

I'm right there with you! My DH has been out of work since May 2009 and has had very few interviews, despite spending hours upon hours searching and sending out resumes. He just got word today that he will have an interview this Friday! It's at a small company where a friend of his has a pretty high up position. We're hoping the recommendation from his friend will carry some clout with the hiring manager.

Finger and toes crossed for everyone who's on a job hunt!

Good luck OP, I've been looking since July, I send at least 10 resumes per week (and spend a lot of time online looking at jobs as well) and I've had 2 interviews, neither resulted in an offer. I hope this is your DH's job!!

I hope he gets the job! I know how you're feeling, my DH was laid off 14 months ago and had his first interview for a job in his field yesterday. It looks very promising but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high. Hopefully we all have good news soon!
