Good Thing? Major Make-Over for Bistro De Paris

I agree with Kevin that Bistro is one of the best dining experiences on property and will be disappointed if the changes result a "dumbed down" menu or ambiance.

I like the expansion of the bakery, but I hope they keep our favorites including the Napoleon. My biggest concern is that the Patisserie will not be reopened by our November trip.

Bistro has always been our favorite place to eat the the world. The food was great, the service excellent, the location was fabulous.....and NO KIDS!! For just ONE MEAL! That's all I wanted.....1 meal without kids. I know, I know...what do I expect....I'm in Disney World for pete's sake! I can't help it. After 20 meals of crying kids, kids running around tables, spilling, wiping sticky faces and sticky hands, ordering the chicken (?) things.......I mean, I'm on vacation too. Can't I have ONE MEAL?
Now I see the dreaded words.....Kids meal coming to Bistro.......my fate is sealed. I guess I'll have to take up drinking and hang out in a bar to get my "adult time"......don't tell me they allow kids there too!!!!:rolleyes1

Given most of the Disney menus, dumbed down might be a best case scenario... shudder. Well I guess V and A is still there.

I was not happy to hear this. We have never been to Bistro de Paris and were looking forward to going on one of our upcoming trips. I'm really concerned Disney will dumb down the food and I'm not sure the atmosphere sounds appealing to me. That said, I'll reserve judgment and hope it is wonderful. At least we have the bakery to look forward to!

We just happened across Bistro about 4 years ago. It was the last day of our trip, so we promised ourselves that when we came back the next year, we would eat there, and we did.

They day we chose was my birthday, and it will forever remain as one of my best birthdays ever! DH delivered a gift for me there without me knowing earlier in the day, and as we were having our dessert, our waiter brought it to our table. It was my very own magical moment! Of course, the entire meal was delicious. We have not been back there since, but have recommended it to many friends who have gone to WDW. I truly hope that not too much is altered at this hidden gem of a restaurant!
