I'm looking for something like the Rainforest Cafe.....does anyone have any recommendations? I have a toddler who would love themed dining (not character dining though). We already have a character dinner booked....just looking for "kid-friendly" places to eat. Preferrably not in a park. Thanks so much!! :teeth:

Well, there's always Rainforest Cafe. :)

Seriously, the Disney restaurant are far, far better, IMHO. The best is 50s Prime Time Cafe: Superior themeing, lots and lots of fun, and very yummy food. Whispering Canyon is also excellent. It's a party atmosphere with a lot of appeal for children. 'Ohana is similar, though the food isn't as good as at Whispering Canyon. Sci-Fi Dine In Theater has great theming and is also lots of fun, but again the food leaves a bit to be desired.

I just returned on Sunday, and dined at the Coral Reef, the food was great the service a little lacking but the huge fish tank my son adored and all the children really got a kick out of it young and old!

Good luck!

If you just want CS then Cosmic Rays at Tomorrow land is great-anyone know if Sonny Eclipse is still in residence? :rotfl2:

One of the magical things about Disney is the themes of it's restaurant. Even the counter serve restaurants are themed.

Some have more adult themes but all are great.

Here are some that are kid-friendly

We had dinner there last week and really enjoyed listening to Sonny while we ate. "Planetary Boogie" has been playing in my head all day today! Can't wait to go back to WDW and catch his act again.

:wave2: 'Ohanas at the Poly is a lot of fun. Or you could always try the Concourse Steakhouse at the Contemporary. The restaurant itself doesn't have much of a theme but your little one may like watching the monorail go by :cool1:

We love 'Ohana at the Poly, & my kids love to do the hula hoop races. My kids love the rainforest too, you do not have to enter AK park to eat there or you could go to DTD. Now if you changed your mind about the park restaurant, Sci-FI & San Angel are huge fav's with my family.
