I requested a room switch from 6532 to 6116 because I thought it would be closer to the restaurants & clubs. Anyone have experience with either?

I can't comment on these exact cabins, but to me it looks to be a wash. In once case your near the forward stair case, in another your near the aft stair case. There's likely to be as many things you want to attent that are mid-ship and forward as there is aft.

What I think is really important is that you are on Deck 6. From there, it's only three levels of stairs to climb to either get up on deck (pools, topsiders) or three or fewwer levels to get back to your room (from guest services, dinner, shows, night clubs).

The bigger question would be the room's relaitve location to laundry if you expect to be doing any on the trip (there's not many and it can be a hassle to keep walking between you cabin and laundry to move or retreieve a load, or to check if the laundry is done because you didn't pay attention to when it started).

If you REALLY want to be close to the clubs and aft dinning, then what I would think you would really want to do is get one of the Cat 6 cabins on deck 5. Yes they are all aft of the aft elevators, but that puts you close to most the food, the same deck as the kids clubs, and right close to the movie theater. I haven't stayed in any of these cabins yet, but that's what I decided to try for the 14 day repo.

I stayed in 6116 my first cruise and I loved the room. My second cruise...I was in a navigators verandah (5136) and they have the cat 6's next to them. I would personally prefer deck 5 (the 5136 room) because you dont have to walk down narrow hallways all the way to your room.....you actually have a walkway twice the size of the decks with just staterooms. You pass the nursery and are close to the elevators. Room 5136 was in my opinion the perfect place to stay.
