:wave2: Hello everyone! (New to the boards) :wave2:

We are going to be going to Disney in June and will be going to Blizzard Beach for the first time on this trip. We plan on getting there at opening and would like to know a good place to stake out some shade for the day. We have two DS 11 and 6. :wizard:

I have never really found a bad spot at Blizzard Beach...I mean i'm sure someone else could tell you some? On our last we got there at opening and were able to pick a seat. We picked a place that was next to "Melt-Away Bay". I think it was in the sun, but had trees so it had some shade to. It was a good spot for us but we were hardly at our seats b/c we liked to do the slides.

I don't know if there is a "bad" spot, but if you are looking for sun or shade specifically, I would ge there at opening :flower:

Hope this helps a little

Thanks for the idea.

I dont really know how much time we will be spending at our chairs. When we went to Typhoon Lagoon we found a great spot by the shark reef that was covered and a little ways away from the beaten path. I was nice to get out of the sun, eat our snacks and lunch and get away from the crowds for as long as the kids would let us. :goodvibes I was hoping to hear of somewhere like that at Blizzard Beach.

OT-we have a little Boston also and her favorite toy is a Stitch doll!!! Maybe she feels like she's playing with one of her own "kind"! ;)

You will LOVE Blizzard Beach! I don't have a specific spot, but if you get there exactly at opening and be one of the first in line, you'll have the pick of the whole place..its huge. We just put our stuff down anywhere and go. Oh, be sure to head straight for the family raft ride,(Teamboat Springs, take a right and head on way up the hill by stairs) its a BLAST!!! You'll laugh your head off going down and its competely different from the one at TL. But be sure to go there first, the line gets huge. Its well worth the wait! We'll be there the day we get back from our cruise in two weeks! :)

I am bumping you up because there is an awesome spot that is really private - if my directions aren't the best, maybe someone else will improve on them for you. Definitely get there first thing, head to the right and take a bridge over the lazy river. If you keep heading to the right you will find a very private deck with a picnic table and maybe three chairs. It is shaded and looks right over the lazy river. It was a beautiful spot.

We went directly to the Ski Patrol area. Go down the stairs and sit to the left. There were a few shaded picnic tables there, but other folks had claimed them before we got there (and we were in line at opening). But this was a great location. Restrooms and lockers were right there also. Just remember when you ask for a locker key at the entrance to BB, tell them you want a locker over by Ski Patrol.

Have fun! Keep an eye pealed for little lizards!

That is too funny! Sometimes our Boston gets this crazy look in his eyes and then runs around like he's a nut...we swear he is related to Stitch!

Have a great trip!
