Good sign for early Dec.

Friday and Saturday nights in December are usually booked up. So Dec 3, 4, 10, 11 might have little or no availability. But the weeknights should be good.

*Crossing my fingers* for the good weather part! I don't mind if it is a little cool, I just don't want rain and cool weather.

From what I hear, I'm sure it will be ok crowd wise!

Hope to see lots of lime green down there! :teeth: :wave2:

I'm hopeful about (relatively) small crowds...and being a weather fanatic as well as a Disney fanatic, I'll let you know what the long-range forecasts are for the first part of December when they come "into range" this coming week (my early guess is that temps will be at or above normal...upper 70's by day).

I too am hoping that the crowds will be low. We have gone early Dec 3 times and have found the crowds to be much smaller than normal. But we have not gone in a couple of years. I think mousefest might impact the crowds in the parks.

I always do this too and be prepared, it's a roller coaster ride. You check in the morning and it says high 70's, you are happy. You check it in the evening and it says mid 60's, you are upset. I always say I'm not going to look until a week before, but I always do!

I was hopeful, but I just checked the WDW website for lodging and to my surprise there were NO value resorts available at RACK rate for the weekend of Dec. 10-13. Only 2 moderates and they were water view or king bed. Very little in the deluxes. Guess I better start making those PS soon or we will be eating chicken strips and french fries for 4 days.

In my recent resort searches I have found that booking at least 3 nights over a weekend gets you more availablity than just one or two nights.

Try booking 3 or 4 nights, then cancel the nights you don't need.

CRO told me that the website can show differentl availabilty than what CRO sees - different system or something.

Just now CSR came up on line for your dates, n2mm, but of course, the standard rate of $148.

I'm sure someone will cancel before the 10th, you just have to snag that room!!

Well now I'm nervous. But, I just checked avail. on the website for Dec. 5-11 (my dates). All values and POR are booked up- I'm guessing Pop Warner cheerleaders. The rest of the hotels had availability- except Poly. So, I'm still hoping for low crowds. We won't be in the parks on a weekend so I think we'll be OK. Looks like the weekends may be very busy though. Here's hoping for decent crowds!

We are going the 1st through the 8th for my kids birthdays and really hope it is not crowded. My brother just came back from vets day and he said it was packed even though all of the books said it would not be, let's hope it is empty!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce:    ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: :hyper: :hyper: :bounce:  :Pinkbounc

We leave for Disney December 5th and I've been worried about crowds too. So glad I found this thread! Looks like the weekend of December 10th-13th is going to be pretty busy, but we leave the 11th so that's ok. I'll be happy if we've got low crowds just through the week days. I'll be so disappointed if it's very crowded, I convinced my sister to take the kids out of school based on the low crowd reports for early December.

On a side note, I booked our rooms in July and could not get December 4th at POFQ...CSR told me it was already booked up. I couldn't believe it!

WaltD4me- I think the weekends are both booked- the weekend of the 4th and 10th. The weekend of the 4th is the taping of the Christmas parade and I believe I read it was a press event- so I'd imagine it will be packed. And yes, everyone is reporting no rooms available for the 10th. So- I'm guessing that weekend will be packed too. Here's hoping the weekdays will not be crowded. See you at POFQ on the 5th!

WaltD4Me- Just checked WDW site for availability. Got offered AKL for the 5-11- no moderates. However, I asked for 5-9- knowing th 10th is full and got offered all 4 moderates- including POFQ. So, maybe it won't be too bad until Friday!

Disney has extended their hours, so it seems like it will be very busy.
