Good Restaurants in MK For Dinner?

don't know about the other places, but i've been to tony's twice and both times were awful. i'll never eat there again.

For dinner I would pick Crystal Palace it always a must do on our list for lunch or dinner.

LTT used to be one of our favorites, haven't been in years. Our last 2 times we were not crazy about our meal, so we haven't returned. Lunch is still good though. Haven't eaten at Cindy's since the changes, we always enjoyed our dinner here. Never eaten at Ton'y for dinner, many years ago they used to offer breakfast and we loved it. The Plaza Restaurant is your basic sandwich with fries, they also offer salads and soups.

Since we are always at rope drop early by 11:30 we need a break. I just ate lunch last week LTT. They no longer serve crispy onion rings on the pot roast but other than that it was just and tender and delecious as I remember. My daughter had the pasta and liked it.

Next time I'll go for the turkey. It is always fresh.

I've never eaten dinner here so I can't say.

Haven't been to Tony's is such a long time due to past bad meals.

I don't like CS since they've always been a hassle. I don't know if they still seat people but in the past the time to order, get your meals and find a table was such a hassle.

If I had only one day in the MK, I don't know if I would leave for lunch.

We are spending this Thursday and Saturday at MK and I've got Tony's for lunch and Kona for dinner on Thursday. I am scared to try Tony's - we are used to really good italian, but don't want to leave for lunch. And for Kona, it's just a monorail ride away and I made it for late enough to watch the fireworks from the beach if we decide we've had enough for one day. On Sat. we've got LTT for lunch - I only like my thanksgiving dinner, lol - but the lunch menu looks good and Cinderella's for dinner. Haven't heard great things about the food at CRT, but it's all about the princesses when you have little girls!

I can't deal with CS when it's busy, but it's not a bad option otherwise - we didn't think the hamburgers at Cosmic Rays or the taco salad at Peco's Bill were terrible either. Not great, but certainly edible.

Maybe either going to one of the nearby resorts for a late dinner, or CS would work?

Those onion rings were what helped make that pot roast for me; so sad they removed them.

And I agree about not leaving the park for lunch. Kona, etc. might be only a monorail ride away; but it's a bit time consuming having to walk over to the park entrance, wait for the monorail, wait til it gets you to the resort, and then vice-versa along with having to go through the ticket scanners on the way back. Too much wasted valuable park time IMO.

Sometime in 2012, a sixth TS restaurant, Be Our Guest, is set to open in the Fantasyland expansion. There's no info yet about menus or styles of food, but there are rumors that the restaurant will feature some type of either costumed or animatronic characters.

Honestly, Tony's was the worst food i've ever had at disney. If you must go, dont get anything with tomato sauce in it and stay away from the meatballs. I'd try their steak, most people seem to be ok with those. The rest really is disgusting. As i said i had the chicken parm and my son had spag n' balls, and both were gross. Good luck!

Yes, rumors are that Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, Chip, etc. will circulate throughout the restaurant on serving carts (similar to Remy at Les Chefs de France in EPCOT). That way, they're "actual" size.

For OP, we're fond of Columbia Harbor House for lunch and Plaza Restaurant for dinner. Inexpensive, tasty, and fresh.

I just ate at Tony's for the first time a few weekends ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Liberty Tree Tavern was good but kind of pricey (in my book). I've also ate at Crystal Palace for dinner back in December and it was just "eh ok".

If I had to choose a dinner... it would be Tony's....

BUT what I would do:

Lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern (lunch is very very good... dinner is different)

Columbia Harbour House for dinner (quick service)

We like to sit down during the heat of the day and take a break. With quick service dinner, you can control when you get out of there so you're not missing the electrical parade/wishes, etc.

I agree with the previous 100%. Tony's is very yummy for dinner. LTT is great for lunch.

I've read a lot of bad reviews about Tony's but I've never had a bad meal there. The steak is decent and I liked the chicken parmesan. I also really enjoy their pistachio creme brulee.

The Plaza is a new one for me this year. It is sandwiches/fries. I've read the sundaes are quite yummy.

Crystal Palace is one I have done only for breakfast. It was a standard breakfast buffet. I imagine lunch and dinner are the same. Something for everyone to eat plus pooh and friends.

Liberty Tree Tavern. I'd only do this one for lunch. The set dinner (Thanksgiving fare) is too heavy for me for dinner. I had the turkey meal at lunch a few years back and it was basically Stouffers.

Cinderella's: Never tried and probably will never try. too expensive imo just to say I've been in the castle.

Cosmic Ray's is very decent counter service. You can get ribs or chicken or both with mashed potatoes and a vegetable for around $15. They also have you basic burgers ect.

Columbia Harbor House is also decent counter service with fish and shrimp baskets.

If I had to pick a table service for dinner in MK, it would be Tony's. The Plaza if I wanted a lighter meal but wanted sit down. If I was crunched for time, I would do either Cosmic Rays or Columbia Harbor House depending on if I wanted chicken or seafood. If you have no character meals planned and younger kids, I would try Crystal Palace. I would just look at the menus and see what caters more for your family. Good luck!

Tony's NY strip is actually really good and flavorful. I agree with others that the chicken parm is ICK. I got the chicken and DH got the steak...I had a few bites of his and was very jealous! I think Tony's marinara is just off somehow. We did get an app of bruschetta with diced tomatoes that was good.

OH...and at Kona, stay away from the coconut almond chicken. The night I got it, at least, it was a soggy mess. Their wings are FANTASTIC though. If we ever went back I would get just those for my meal.

Yeah, what LuvLuvLuv said. LTT at lunch is good (not great, but good). And the menu choices at lunch are more extensive than dinner. CHH is also good, especially for a CS.

IMO not many. I've only been to CRT & Crystal Palace. If you don't want to use 2/dining credits, spend the money, or if lucky to get an ADR, I would go to Crystal Palace. Beautiful!! Food is actually really good & you get to see Pooh, Tigger & Piglet. Or, if you want a break from the park, take the monorail to Poly for Ohana or Kona.

If you definitely want to stay in the park, I would do a QS at Columbia Harbour House. We always feel it's hard to find a good meal in MK - there are okay meals, but we haven't had a good one. We do like Columbia Harbour House though. We ate at Tony's a few years ago, and wouldn't ever go back. Maybe we are spoiled with great italian food (plus we are italian!) but it just really wasn't good food. It's a cute atmosphere, but we were really disappointed.
