So DH and I will be in MK and needing a table service lunch at a resort that's easy to get to from there. It's during the week before Christmas - I know :scared1: !

We're looking for an easy meal break from the park around noon or 1. Can you help me with recommendations?

Much obliged.

How about Kona? We've had several wonderful dinners at Kona, so I assume their lunches would be great too.

Plus, we just really like to walk around the Poly.

We love the Grand Floridian Cafe- then you can see the gingerbread house in the lobby as well. It is a quick boat ride away from the MK. The monorail may be faster on the way back but not by much.

i love  the plaza, which is right in MK. The GF has the GF cafe which is also very good; and the kona cafe at the polynesian is one of my favorite resturants at disney.

My name is Kerri, too! And I would also suggest Kona Cafe @ The Poly. Great spot for lunch. Relaxing atmosphere and great food!! Their macaroni salad (which they only serve at lunchtime) is AWESOME!

Have fun!

Liberty Tree Tavern (which, like The Plaza, is in the MK itself).

While dinner at LTT is a family-style 'thansgiving-type' meal, lunch is a-la-carte with some great options. It's all indoors to, so no worries if you need a break from the elements.

The Wave at CR is also a good choice because, as a PP said, you can walk it from the MK.

This.

The food there is very good and the prices are downright reasonable for Disney. Couple that with the hotel's Christmas decor and your want for a relaxing lunchtime break from the park, and the Grand Floridian Cafe is a can't miss pick.

Given your criteria, I'd recommend this above anything else along the monorail or in the park.

The Wave! You can take the resort monorail over (1 stop), and walk back, or walk both ways; the food is fresh, mostly organic, seasonal, sustainable, local, and best of all, awesome; and it's very rarely crowded during lunch. They also have a great selection of organic local beers on tap, and great wine flights and dessert trios if you want to treat yourself :)

If you want to stay in the park, then Liberty Tree Tavern.

Out of the park - defi. the Grand Floridian Cafe. Just make sure you have an adr. We went last year then lst week of December. We had an adr, but those who did not were told the wait would be 1 hour and then it increased to 1 and 1/2 hours.
