Is there one day or event in your life you'd like to do over? For me it would be my first marriage, even though I learned to appreciate my DH now more t han ever!

I would like to redo my wedding day. I was 19 when I got married and my mother and two sisters basically steamrolled over me with a lot of the decisions, so almost 18 years later I would like to do it over my way.

I'm going to say my wedding day as well! Video taping of weddings was still new and very expensive back in 1980! So the only memories I have are from photos, and what is still stored in my old memory bank!

It all happened so fast I'd really like to re-live it again!

I would like to go back to that day in 1965 when the girl's guidance counselor at my high school told me that I was "too pretty to take chemistry and higher mathematics. You're just going to get married and have babies." Then she placed me in home economics instead of chemistry.

Boy would I like to go back to that day and insist on that chemistry class

I would not have dropped out of school to work and pay for my first husband's education. But that was in the 60s and women ( the foolish ones like me ) still did idiotic things like that.

nativetxn,

I went to a school that only ALLOWED boys to take physics. I too wish I had stirred up a ruckus over that one. It is difficult to explain to today's generation how different things were then.

I wonder what regrets this generation will have 50 years from now?

That's unbelieveable!! Have you seen the movie "Mona Lisa Smile"
I'm sure you would wicked relate to that! I saw it last night and can not believe what the expectations were for women in the 50's. I understand my mother much better after seing that movie.

I'd like to do my honeymoon over. We had a great time, but I didn't take any notes, so my memory is a little fuzzy on this. Also there were some things I would have done more of and some I would have done less of! ;)
