Good price for rental car?

I just booked a car for 7/9-11, p/u and d/o at the Dolphin.( We are staying at BWV and although we have used WeGoShop before I much prefer to do my own grocery shopping) We have a mid size for $63.09 @ National. Used to be we could get a week for $80. I know the prices have gone up but is this a good deal?

I'd try Alamo - you'll get the same car (same location). National is higher. Also, I've noticed car rentals have gone way up too! I used to get a car for a day for about $30 total, from MCO to the Dolphin, so I could drive there and stop and shop along the way.

The cheapest I have ever found with National is about $110/week before taxes... no clue how you were getting $80/week, but those type of deals are hard to find.

Check for National coupons the give you a free weekend day. They are in the Entertainment book and can be found elsewhere as the date approaches..... though your price isn't too bad... that is about what I paid for a 3 day rental in Reno a while back...

Is the $63 a day or for 2 days? If it's 2 days, that's good.

If you're staying at the villas, why not rent for one day at MCO and drop off at the Dolphin, and drop off your other guests, shop and drop off the groceries with bell services if the room isn't ready? I took ME once, to BWI, and it was well over 2 hours from when we showed up to we got dropped off at the resort. In that time, we could have shopped and dropped off our groceries with bell services, and dropped off the car (which is quick at the Dolphin, I've done it a few times). Or have the rest of the party take ME and you do the car and shopping? It would save time for sure.

Just a thought.
