Hello!

I was hoping someone out there could share their experience. I'm going this holiday season with my parents, 63 and 56, my wife 24 and myself 25. I was hoping someone could suggest a nice place for Christmas Eve as well as Christmas dinner.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks so much!

magdt,
I was just going to ask that same question! My family of 7- 4 adults, 2 teens and a 7yr old DS are staying at BCV. We need a place to take out Bfst to bring back to our room (Santa will be leaving surprises), is there a bakery on the Boardwalk? Also need a memorable dinner spot btwn MK and BCV where we will be on Xmas Day.
Thanks, Cathy

this probably won't be too helpful but I know there is a bakery on the boardwalk, just can't remember the name, I'm sure someone can.

I've kind of got it narrowed down to Citrico's, Artist Point, or Cinderella's castle. Any thoughts on those?

magdt,
Of those you listed I have only tried Artist's Point. It is a fabulous restaurant, the best Salmon I have ever had. And WL is beautiful for Christmas with a huge tree in their lobby, I have heard (haven't seen the tree but love the lobby itself).
The only prob is getting to WL from other resorts unless you have your own car, then I would definately go there, especially if you have never seen WL!

I believe that the many of the resort restaurants have a fixed price dinner for Christmas Eve and Christmas dinner- similar to Thanksgiving. Check out the information on Thanksgiving at
http://www.wdwig.com/menu/men_thks.htm. I'm also in the same boat- trying to decide where to eat. I do know that reservations on Christmas have to be guaranteed with a credit card. Good Luck Deciding!

Last Christmas we (party of 12) ate Christmas eve dinner at Tepanyaki in Japan. We needed 2 tables, but they were right next to each other. We did this as part of the Candlelight Processional dinner package, which was rained out that night.
Christmas Day dinner was in the evening at California Grill. It was very elegant!
Whatever you do, make your PS early.

Disney Humbug- Did Calif. Grill have a fixed Price dinner? Was it a limited number of items from their regular menu, or more traditional Christmas fare? Thanks! Jill

when can you start making PS? I heard reports that it was 120 days but that it is now 90? anyone know the truth?

We are doing our first Christmas in WDW this year. My plan is to have our big holiday dinner on Christmas Eve at Le Cellier as part of the Candlelight Processional package. Then since we tradtionally have a big family breakfast on Christmas morning, we will continue that by eating at Chef Mickeys(or Cindys if possible..yeah right) for a late breakfast, after hitting EE at MK. Guessing we wont be too hungry after an all you can eat meal(Im aiming for around 10:00-11:00am for that), and our plan is to reosrt hop that day, we will probably just pick up burgers at Beaches & Cream...a place Ive been wanting to try.

Great suggestions! We arrive on 12/27 and are going off site to eat at Emerils new restaurant, Tchop Chop. I already made the PS. kaufmancat, I just wanted to mention that the Boardwalk Bakery is fantastic! I'm sure your family will enjoy the variety and quality of the pastry.

I ate at the Liberty Tree Tavern at MK in April and really liked it. I imagine a colonial Christmas decor would really make it like feel like an old fashioned Christmas dinner.

Magdt - ALL PS are now at 90 days- started on Aug. 4th (well- most- not Bistro, HDD and a couple others). See announcement on home page of WWW.WDWINFO.COm

nasmith - yes, it was fixed price. The menu was special for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. If I can find it - I'll post what was on it. I don't remember the price, as my DB paid for all of us!!! He's awesome.
