We're going commando next year, without any pool breaks, room breaks or restaurant breaks (eat on the go). But we want to be smart and get off our feet, preferable in the shade and out of the way. My perfect spot is the garden beside Epcot/UK, and many countries in the World Showcase are good. That aside...

Where can we down sit for 10 minutes in the MK, HS and FW? (not including attractions or restaurants)

Epcot character spot building is my favorite out of any park. Chairs, cold A/C, tables, outlets, bathrooms. Add to that you have free soda at club cool right around the corner

MK has Tom Sawyer's island but you'd invest more than 10 min doing that route

HS has a bunch of tables over near the turn to head towards rockin rollercoaster

FW I like to sit near the lockers / restrooms to the side of Spaceship Earth, OR in the breezeway on either side, between the Innoventions buildings, as there is always a nice breeze, and some air conditioning from the buildings there.

MK, the top floor of the train station, Tortuga Tavern (which is never open for business when we are there) for nice AC break, same with the Tomorrowland Terrace.

HS . . . I have nothing, sorry lol.

There are plenty of attractions/shows that can be used for both commando touring and as spots to rest. MK & HS are full of them. AK has a few as well. Epcot not as many since you have to stand through 2 of the 3 movies found in the countries.

The museum in Japan is a good place to rest with benches and air con. I almost dozed off in there.

When are you coming? if its June through October... I would rethink the commando approach... its just to hot here to go that route during this time of year. You up the chance of dehydration, and running around and eating on the go could crop up some tummy issues with the heat.. By spend time eating at a QS in the air conditioning you can get off your feet and give your stomach a chance to digest the food. But of course its your decision on what's best for your family..

MK - over near POC there are some benches and shade, in Liberty square there are a few benches around this area. Oh and the noddle station depending on the time of year it might not be opened but you can sit at the tables. Over near Space mountain there are a few benches in a shaded area.

Epcot - lots of options,

AK - this so crowded right now every space is taken up, there are some benches but not always in the shade. You will have to get away from Pandora to find a spot. Flame tree offer some tables, to the left follow the path next to the building, toward the water, nice view, and some pavilions... We normally get a drink and a snack to share and take a break here.

DHS - With all the constructions going on its hard to find a spot, there are some benches but I really don't think that they would be shaded all day...

There are so many rides that are sit down and in the a/c, that I just don't know that I'd intentionally try to find somewhere else to sit, if your plan is to go all day. Things like CoP, PeopleMover, Philharmagic, One Mans Dream, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, SE, Tough to be a Bug, Lion King, etc...are all things where you can get off your feet, sit in cool air and relax for an extended time. There are a handful of non-restaurant, non-attraction places you could go, but you'd expend energy and time getting to them. Just use the rides.

At HS I like sitting by the exit to ToT. It's indoors, a/c is at full blast and you get to see what adrenaline does to people every couple of minutes (not an ideal spot if you are looking for somewhere quiet though)
One Man's Dream is also a nice spot to relax, find a corner and sit on the floor
PizzaRizzo is usually empty all day, other than your regular meal times, plenty of seating with a/c

I would make use of your time and hit as many shows as you can

In the MK - what comes to mind is hall of presidents, the people mover, carousel of progress, the river boat ride, tiki room.

I would make a search of show times for each show in the parks and then try and hit them when you need a break. Other than that it would be just trying to stake out a shady spot with a bench -- that might be tougher than hitting the shows and knowing that you might get a little AC in some of the shows would be a help

In MK, I'd say the area outside Swiss Family Treehouse (unless it's a smoker's area I don't remember), or that sitting area near Sleepy Hollow. I think during the warmer months they open up a special indoor seating area near Sleepy Hollow you can go to, and most people don't know about it. My family's personal favorite area is near the restrooms in Tomorrowland or the People Mover.
In HS, any bench around the little lagoon area near Prime Time/Gertie's Ice Cream should do and a few shady spots outside Indiana Jones.
In FW, there are plenty of shady spots outside the restooms on either side of Spaceship Earth, or you can crash at The Electric Umbrella for a few minutes (no one will kick you out for not purchasing food). Also, Innoventions has a few quiet spots.

Your post made me tired even thinking about it :)

I'd find anywhere in the cool AC though!

Any smoking section works for me, but if you don't smoke, that's probably not ideal.

10 minute break? Anywhere! I don't see a need for a 10-minute break since there are so many attractions you can sit and relax for longer than 10 minutes.

These are the places that our family chooses to relax.

MK- MK railroad, Liberty Bell (steamboat), Tomorrowland Terrace, Mickey's Philharmagic, People Mover,
EPCOT- Living with the land boat ride, any of the countries that have films, UK pavilion by maze, Character spot corridor has seating, Spaceship Earth,
AK- Benches along the paths near Dinosaur, tables near Africa bridge, Bugs Life, Flame Tree BBQ,

DS10 and I commando tour and we utilize air conditioned attractions and eating as our rest times. If we are just snacking we do so on the move but lunch and dinner we will sit to eat, whether it's eating inside Tangierine Café or CHH just finding a bench or low wall to perch on for a few minutes while we stuff our faces. No, we aren't moving from one to another but we are doubling the benefits by eat & resting or attraction & resting as opposed to just sitting doing nothing for 10-15 minutes. Seems like a better use of our time

We never go back to hotel. Getting the whole kit and kaboodle out again I never works. We schedule a sit down lunch in air conditioning and do the inside air conditioned shows after lunch. A great rest is the monorail between MK AND Epcot.

I think the closest to 10 minute breaks at DHS would be the ~10 min Return to the Jedi movie and movie at the end of One Man's dream.
