Good Pedometer

I have NO idea what makes a pedometer better than the next....Anyone have a good one for say around $20? Thanks

Hey I dont really know much about pedometers, I have the Nike+ thing for my ipod/iphone which is pretty interesting for running (altho not very useful for me now as I've kinda gone "purist" and stopped listening to music when I run (I usually go through phases of music/no music, but the current no music phase is now crossing 2 years so...)

Sorry, I don't have an answer either since I usually use my Garmin 205 or the Nike+. The link offered seems like a great start.

I bought an Omron pedometer recently that I love. It can be clipped onto your clothes or it slips out and can be put in a pocket or a purse. It is very accurate. Was $30 at Scheels. Sorry I don't have a model number but it does say Walking Style on it.

A few weeks ago I bought a pedometer at Target for the same price as this one and it just is so inaccurate and a complete waste of money. But this Omron, it really only counts the steps you take. It's amazing. It has a lot of other great features too, like it automatically resets at midnight, it has a memory for 7 days so you can go back and see how you did all week, and it even works if you just have it in your purse.

And the fact that it has 4.5 stars on Amazon with more than 2500 reviews speaks volumes.

That is really similar (sp?) to the one I have not exact though, but I love it. I was so sick of ones that were so inaccurate, if I am going to wear the thing I want it to show what I am doing. Plus when you start paying more than $20 for a pedometer I expect it to be pretty decent at counting steps. I had bought the new weight watcher one from the meetings and that one was so horrible, so I would stay away from that one. Glad to see the Omron gets so many good reviews.

I have an omron too that I love! I have the next model up, so I can load the info onto my computer. I used to do that but I quit uploading. Still love the Omron though! It even survived a washing.

I have a Sportsline and it fits right in my pocket. The ones that go on a waistband never work right on me. This one is flat and is very comfortable in my pocket
