Hi

Sorry if this has been asked before, but can anyone give recommendations of a good hotel near Buffalo Airport for park/sleep/fly? there are lots to choose from but was looking for tips from those that have been there done that! Thanks so much!:)

Last year we stayed at the Holiday Inn across from the airport and liked it - would definitely stay there again. We didn't park there, though - we parked at the airport.

You will see many posts on here recommending the Marriott Buffalo Airport. It was very nice, wonderful beds, and free parking. Nice indoor pool and great restaurant too! I've seen comments on this board that you can get it for $60 on priceline.

Check out trinityreservations.com and look for Buffalo. Reservation would be at Staybridge Suites. You need to prepay, but I highly recommend it.

$105 gets you :

Free round trip airport shuttle from 4am to 12 midnight

Free 14 days of parking with this package

One standard over night sleeping room

Free breakfast is included with our package.

Package rate:
Friday to Sunday(March)
$ 105.00 inclusive of tax.
Good for up to 4 people per room
(final cost, no added fees)

We stayed there in early Feb and loved it.

anyone else???

The 3.5* Buffalo Marriott Niagara is my choice when bidding on priceline. It is the only 3.5* hotel in all 8 geographic zones for Buffalo. Even when booking through priceline you can leave your vehicle for free and take shuttle to the airport. You can usually get it for $60 when bidding a few days in advance of your actual stay.

This one looks good!! Except we have 3 kids, don't know if it would work out for us. :confused3 Any idea??

We stayed at the Staybridge Suites before our trip this month and back in September. The hotel is nice enough for the price, and certain nights of the week they offer a free light dinner buffet. The rooms are clean and nice, with a full kitchen, a bedroom with two queen beds, and a pull-out couch in the living room.

The issue we had was that both times, upon our return to Buffalo airport, we had to wait over an hour and a half for the shuttle back to the hotel to get our car. When you check in, they take down your return flight information, plus I called the hotel as soon as we landed, yet we still had to wait. On our most recent trip, I called the hotel three times while we were waiting and was told every time that they would be there any minute.

I will definitely be looking for somewhere different to stay for our upcoming trips.

Thank you for that!:)

Priceline isn't showing any 3.5* in the airport zone when bidding - the only one is in the Amherst zone - is this where it is? The Marriott does come up as the only 3.5* when just doing a "regular" search.

We are staying at the Days Hotel across from the airport on our upcoming trip. I got a great rate through parksleepfly.com. We are a family of 5, three teenage boys. I plan on bringing an air bed and sleeping bag for the third child.
They allow 5 per room although they don't have rollaways. Haven't stayed here before but it seems to get good reviews on tripadvisor etc. You might want to check it out and see if it meets your needs.

Yes it is the Buffalo-Amherst zone. You can bid up to 8 times within 24hrs just by adding another zone and keeping the 3.5* category only.

We have stayed at the Days Inn on Genessee through parksleepfly.com and have left our car here. This hotel is perfect for the one night stay-over. It has free breakfast from 4 or 5 am and the shuttle is great. We have stayed here about 3 times and the shuttle always arrives within 10 minutes of your phone call.

We have also stayed at the Fairfield (which is right beside Days Inn). Very nice hotel but a lot more expensive for a one night stay. Since you are just sleeping here probably not worth the money.

Also, may I suggest dinner at the Cheesecake Factory just on the outside of the Galleria Mall. AWESOME!

We stayed at the Millenium Hotel (It's in the parking lot of Walden Galleria), it's only 10 - 15 minutes from the airport.

It was clean, and quiet...

We stayed there for $34 (Regular $129) from priceline.

We parked right at the airport, it was about $75 for the week, and you can also download a coupon for discounted parking from their website.

We've stayed at lots.....

Clarion - not bad but an older hotel. Room was clean and breakfast was the usual. long wait for shuttle after trip.
La Quinta - room felt dirty, breakfast was ok and shuttle was the longest wait we have ever had for one before.
Millennium - old hotel, breakfast was just ok not alot of selection. They had us take a taxi back and we returned to find one of the hotel employees had backed into our car causing $2000 damage. He did pay to have it fixed but still a frustrating inconvenience.
On that same trip as the millennium incident we stayed at the holiday inn - not the one at the airport but a bit farther away and I would stay there again for sure!

With all of these hotels I have learned that for our family we really do prefer parking in the airport parking as the shuttles are always there quick. Tomorrow night we will be staying at the sleep inn as the parking will be in the airports long term lot which I like the idea of. So I guess we'll see how that one is!!

Thank you! I think I like the idea of parking at the airport too, one less step on the way home. Travel days on the say home are not fun anyway!

I will try to post tomorrow to let you know how sleep inn is/was!!

26 hours until we're outta here!!

at sleep inn now and am very pleased with the hotel! check in desk people were very friendly, hotel is clean and seems to be being updated - our room is one of the newly renovated rooms and is quite nice! car is already parked in the long term lot at the airport and shuttle followed dh and fil over to where they parked and brought them back.

breakfast starts very early - about 4 or 430 am.

only complaint would be that the walls seem very thin - we can hear fil and mil's tv in the room beside us! but not enough that it will keep me up. i will be dreaming sweet dreams of disneyland very soon!

have a great march break all!!
