I'll be heading out to the video store later and I'm looking for a really good suspense/mystery sort of movie. Doesn't matter how old or how new - just as long as it will keep me glued to the screen.:D

The Bedroom Window is one of my favorites. It's an oldie (mid-1980's, I think). I believe it was a remake of an old Hitchcock movie and it was very good.

The Hitchcock version of "Rebecca"! One of my favorite suspense movies ever (oooo--Sir Laurence Olivier!), from my favorite novel of all time!

Juggernaut
Good cruise ship with bomb on it movie from the 70's.

"Dead Again" with Kenneth Brannagh and Emma Thompson is one of my all-time favorites.

The Sixth Sense - you have to pay attention to the whole thing...........great movie!

I would suggest "Identity" if you haven't seen it. It came out last year & was very suspenseful. John Cusack is one of the main characters. It has a few pretty good twists that keep you glued to the set.

Bone Collector..........a must see. Denzel Washington, Queen Latifah, Angelina Jolie are a few to name and it is great!!!!!!!!!

When I think of suspense, I'm ususally looking for ones with really good twists.

No Way Out with Gene Hackman and Kevin Coster is a doozy if you've never seen it.

And there's always The Usual Suspects.

"Rear Window"- Hitchcock, Jimmy Stewart, Grace Kelly.

I have a soft spot for Gone in Sixty Seconds(Cage/Jolie version from 2000)

I would recommend "The Game" with Michael Douglas and Sean Penn.

House of Games - an early David Mamet flick with Joe Mantegna and Lindsay Crouse is pretty good.

The Conversation is classic. Gene Hackman in a Coppola film.

I really enjoyed Presumed Innocent with Harrison Form and Bonnie Bedelia too!

Have fun!

I'm sure I'm too late for tonight's video picks but for future reference:
Silence of the Lambs and Memento are two great ones!

Steven Spielberg's first movie, starring Dennis Weaver, from the early 70's.

'Shattered' is another good one.

both older, but... loved them, suspenseful all the way thru..

Arlington Road and Just Cause

anything hitchcock and charade with cary grant and audrey hepburn. an oldie, but a goodie. :)

Memento, Donnie Darko, Arlington Road, Frailty, The Others, Unbreakable, The Changeling

Dial M for Murder
Sorry Wrong Number - The one with Barbara Stanwick
Wait Until Dark
The Others

If I think of more I'll edit this reply.
