hi
What are some good off-site restaurants that are a short drive(15-20 minutes) away ?
looking for good tasting food, with reasonable prices.

Will you have kids in your group? If so, try Ruby's Diner on Lincoln. For breakfast (open until 1 or 2 pm), try the Original Pancake House on Lincoln. The Anaheim Packing District is a sort of upscale food court with many different food options, live music, kiosks, etc. Umami Burger is right across the parking lot from the Packing District. About a mile south of the parks on Harbor are some family style chain places that are quite popular. Anaheim GardenWalk on Katella is walking distance from the parks (Cheesecake Factory, Bubba Gumps, Roys, CPK, etc.). Lucille's BBQ in Orange serves family style and a la carte.

I was just going to recommend Ruby's but I see luckyrabbit recommended it. It's a really cool place with a old drive in diner type of decor with huge servings and great burgers. I highly recommend it!

I'm not a good judge of distance and most of these are fast-casual rather than a proper restaurant. They are tasty, though.

Zankou Chicken on Ball Road
Teppenyaki Grill on Katella
Brodards in Westminster
Juan Pollo on Lincoln Ave

If I remember correctly, towards the Convention Center and beyond are a Morton's, Buca di Beppo, Joe's Crab Shack, Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles. There are also restaurants at The Block (an out door shopping center)

Several In-N-Out Burger locations close by Disneyland, just sayin' ;)

When our kids were younger we'd buzz up to Red Robin in Garden Grove, next door is Joe's Crab Shack.

Wr tried Mimi's on Harbor for the first time on our trip. We really liked it!
Prices are decent, lots of good food choices and it's a welcome relief from the relentless loud and bright atmosphere of the parks.

We live 8 miles from DL or about 15 minutes away. For amazing Italian try Dominic's in Cypress. Its off Ball Rd. I'll also echo In n Out. For okay Italian food but chain and close, Buca di Beppo is good and they always email coupons. PF Changs is very close as well. Lots of people like the Anaheim Packing District but we didn't love it all that much; very loud. For fancier Italian A'Roma in La Palma is out of this world. Straight up Katella there's the Original Fish Co in Los Alamitos if you like seafood. SuperMex is also up Katella in Cypress if you like good Mexican food. These are all very easy drives from the Disneyland Resort.

For bahn mi and chicken curry: OC Rotisserie Chicken on Ball Rd. (behind the car wash) -- very affordable! Super nice family, too.
Jagerhaus for German food, Ball Rd. by the 57 fwy.

And an Outback as well.

Those are all about a mile south of the park and there is a Target across the way as well.

Ate at the closest In-N-Out 2 weeks ago when we were there. Yum yum

We have enjoyed Pizza Press, Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs, and Anaheim Packing District. Anaheim Packing District was amazing! So many different kinds of food and then community seating. Loved it!

Is there some kind of World of Color Status Watch?

I think the best is Pasta Connection. It's about 20 min south, but well worth the drive. Best pasta you'll ever have.
PS - the cheese sticks are my kids favorite. Not really a stick but unbelievable.
Please post if you go!

So which is the closest In-N-Out?

When we used to rent a car, we just drove straight up north on Harbor to the one by the old Disney warehouse store.

Last time we Uber’d to the one at State College, but the Uber driver got lost.

I'm kind of surprised not to see any recommendations for Tony Roma's, it is directly across the street and decent food and good value. We eat there *at least* once each trip.

The one at Ball Rd. and State College (it's pretty hard to miss -- your driver must have been new to the area) is the closest location to the parks (https://locations.in-n-out.com/300-Anaheim). It is located next to a WalMart supermarket, so if you will be using Uber anyway, you could also pick up a few groceries for the hotel room.
