Good News!!!

Mom was released from the hospital tonight. Turns out it wasn't' a TIA - they think the whole episode was caused from severe dehydration! We were almost certain it was a TIA since she's had them in the past, but the MRI as well as all the other tests came back clear. The neurologist assured me that if it had been a TIA they would have seen it on the MRI. Needless to say, we're all VERY relieved (and she's so happy to be home and in her own bed)!

I realize this will mean very little to most of you since you don't live in the immediate area, but Florida Hospital East is truly an amazing facility. The care and treatment my Mom received was first class from start to finish. Every experience I've had in that hospital has been extremely positive. They really are the platinum standard for hospital care.

So, on behalf of my Mom and my family I want to thank all of you for your words of support over the last few days. I firmly believe your good thoughts and prayers made a difference.

that happened to my mom too... they ran every test under the sun... everything was fine... but she was severely dehydrated!!!
