My daughter has been on human growth hormone since she was 3 yo. (the 12 yo). We've taken a 2 year break from it for various reasons. Since April a year ago, she's grown 3 inches and the dr. said not to bother any more!

So apparently she either never needed it and was misdiagnosed, or she started producing her own HGH.

Doesn't matter at this point, we followed the best medical advice at the time, and now she's perfectly normal.

She is thrilled as am I.

Now I just feel bad that maybe we put her through the torture of the shots when they weren't really needed. Her first endo assured me that she had NO HGH in her body and would not grow without the shots. So why did she grow so much without the shots??? Her official diagnosis was dwarfism, which scared the bejeebers out of me.

Oh, well, what's done is done. I'm just so happy that she doesn't need it any more.
