That's GREAT that he is finally going to get the help that he needs! I really hope that this helps him. I can see that it would be difficult for him to adjust to food because of relying on the feeding tube. Why take the time to eat??? Just pour it in!!! I really hope that this makes the turn for him!!! Maybe get some of Jeff Lange's DVDs from LaughingPlace.com of parades and shows for him to watch in the hospital on his birthday if you can't get a pass.

Yes! This is exaxtly what DS thinks! Why go to all the trouble of putting the food in your mouth when you have the tube right there? It's easier for me too to just pour the food in but obviously it's better for DS if he learns to eat so we'll just keep working on it. Eating is such a chore for him. He just doesn't get that it can be fun and enjoyable. Hopefully one day.
