According to Screamscape.com, they have changed the seats to 5 individual ones.

After having a less than memorable experience sitting practically right on top of one of my co-workers on this ride, I'm glad they've decided to change it.

Hopefully it will also lessen the chance of injuries I've heard about a couple times.

Did they add seatbelts or lapbars? I haven't been on Ripsaw Falls, just because I hear there are no seat belts or lapbars. I know they have handrails on each side to hold on. I don't know but I don't want to fall out, no one has yet but I don't want to be the 1st.

You can't fall out. They have that drop set up to it feels like you might fall out of the log but you can't. Unless if you decide to stand up while you are on the last drop. I hope they never add a lap bar or seat belts.

I know I never liked the way the seating was arranged on this (well, not until I went on it with MIB999999!!! :bounce: ) I thought it was completely impractical. You had seats being wasted because people who weren't really chummy didn't sit together, and I can't blame them!

That said, I LOVE the feeling...I trust that I won't fall out, and I love lifting out of my seat, Tower of Terror is my favorite ride anywhere for that feeling...BUT, my kids are terrified of it, and I'm sure that part of that comes from that feeling and not having anything holding you in or down. I can see why people would be uncomfortable with that, it's a very steep angle and lots of people don't like that feeling of lifting out of your seat. I would like to see a lapbar perhaps that still allowed you to be airborne, but that made people feel better about living through it. ;)

The problem with Ripsaw has always been two fold for me, even though I love the ride.

It always felt uncomfortable having to sit with family or friends in that akward position, though, If I sat by my self, because of how much room there was in my seat (considering I'm a small guy), I would feel anxious throughout the whole ride and final drop, and would not be able to enjoy myself.

I hope the new seats help.

Its all physics.. the incline of the boats, the weight (mass), and the speed. It feels like it, but its fine.. especially being a bigger person, the weight will slow you down if anything.. and you wont fall out.

I worried more about my 44 inch , forty pound little girl four year old back in August.. She wasn't scared so I wasnt....

Well, now you know why MsDisney holds MIB999999 at a lower place than usual! :) I would hate to see what they do in the dark Space Mountain part of the Tomorrowland Transity Authority! NO, I do not want that image in my head...

We liven up the day of the CM's who have to sit there and monitor the video cameras for safety issues...

Hey, once you ask, you ask...you can't back out! ;)
