I am headed to Disneyland to go Coast to Coast at the Disneyland Half Marathon in September and I am curious from anyone who has participated in any of the runDisney events at Disneyland where they would recommend staying for the race weekend? I want something that is definitely in walking distance, ideally, not more than 10 mins away. I currently have reservations at the Howard Johnson, Fairfield Inn by Marriott, and could get reservations to the Ramada Plaza (not maingate), or either Best Western Plus Pavillions or Stovalls. We are looking for something clean and good walking distance to the parks and race stuff.
All suggestions are appreciated!! :)

You might also ask in the Disneyland Half Marathon thread.

The Disboard's parent site, wdwinfo, also has a page for the Good Neighbor Hotels broken down by category (suites, moderate, value, etc.).

Of the ones you've listed, I've only stayed at the Fairfield Inn. The rooms were clean and the walk was pretty short.

The DIS (wdwinfo) also has the reviews I've done for quite a few of the Good Neighbors. Use the link on figment_jii's post.

For race weekends if I can't stay on property, Hojo is my go to hotel. I stayed there for both Avengers and Tink. (Make sure you're getting the runners discount by calling them directly!) Its about a 20 minute walk to the corrals on race morning. A perfect warm up really. About a 10 minute walk from the park gates when you're ready to hit the parks. Its really a great location! During Avengers and Tink we ran by the hotel so my family was able to come out and see me. Hotel is very clean. The kiddie pool is great if you have kids. There is an adult pool as well. And the beds are awesome which is important on a race weekend!

I agree with Tom and go to the link in Figment's post....lot's of good information there.
