Planning for a 2010 March visit post a wedding....yes I know I am an early planner!! I am new to Disneyland....I see many nice good neighbor hotels. Are there ones (preferably 1 bedroom suite) that would be just as nice if not nicer than staying on property(such as Disneyland Hotel?) I am also a DVC member, so I would be using points at Disneyland or PP hotels (maybe depending on the pts. at that time per night). Any suggestions appreciated!!!!:worship:

We love staying at the Residence Inn. It is a suit hotel with a full kitchen. They offer a free hot breakfast buffet that is wonderful. The rooms are spacious. Our family of 4 stayed there for 2 weeks this past summer in a one bedroom delux room. We had a little balcony and a veiw of the fireworks at night. It's about 1/2 the price of staying on property and the breakfast will save about $20-30 a day aswell. on by the way I'm an early planner too.

Thank you!!!!!!! I will definitely check this one out!! Do they have a shuttle over to the parks! Thanks so much again!:goodvibes

They do have the ART that goes every 20 minutes or so. There is a cost to it I believe it was about $3.00 a day and I believe something like $8 or $9 for a 3 day pass which allows unlimited use. But it is consecutive days. The walk is pretty easy 15 minutes to the gate. We walked to the park and took the ART back with two younger ones they had tired little feet. Although we did walk back sometimes. The new Anahiem Garden Walk is right across the street with tons of shops, resaurants and movie theaters.

We haven't stayed on site yet because of the cost but we will once.

Oh, excellent. We will all be adults, so walking should be fine! I looked up Residence Suites....there are two. Did you stay at the Maingate one or the newer one?
