In the past when we have gone to Disneyland we have book thru getaway today. I was looking at either the Candy Cane Inn or HoJo. I like HoJo but would prefer one of the rooms on Disney side and not highway side. I know they are extra- on the HoJo site you can book this option. I know with most online travel agents and getaway it says standard room.

My question is can you book thru hotel and still get the early entry OR is there a place to book upgraded rooms with a package.

Any other suggestions on hotels in the 1 block or less walking distance?

I have found some good posts on the one that measures in feet and then the crowd levels in June. We are looking June 7-10th of next year.

Thanks!

Book your hotel separately from your park tickets. You will more than likely save money. I never buy packages, they just don't usually make good financial sense. If you buy your tickets from Disneyland.com, all tickets with 3 or more days come with one early entry.

You can get a parkhopper from Ares, Getaway today or Disney and they all have a Magic Morning if they are 3 or more days.

The only way you can get extra MM's is to stay on-site and then you get them every day they are offered.

Book HoJo separately, since when you book them through GAT, they do not have the Entertainment Rate. Although, in June the Ent. rate can be iffy. They might offer it for your dates, they might not and they might not come open until right before you leave.

Keep track of the Ent. rate calendar on Howard Johnson's site and call as soon as you see your dates available. They seem to change/add dates every couple of weeks. But, dates go fast, especially in the summer.

I used to book through Getawaytoday and love their customer service. Now, since I know more, I book separately and watch HoJo's calendar and get the rates I want, when I want. (usually) It worked that way for me for mid-July. I kept watching and hoping the Ent. rate would be available for my dates, since it usually isn't and just before we left we got the rates we wanted. It was great.

As others have said, I think it is a better deal to book hotel directly through the hotel. And to repete, yes all 3 day or more tickets get 1 MM.

If you want to book through a company, for the convience or whatever the reason, you can then call Hojo directly and for something like $10 per night you can upgrade/secure a specifc room type other than the run of the house (which by the way just means you get what ever room type is available that meet your sleeping space needs)
