How is everyone this morning?
Is anyone as behind as I am? I've got more shopping to do, all the wrapping to do, my house is a disaster, I just woke up and, it's 4 days till Christmas.

LOL, just a normal Christmas for me. Somehow I will get it all together, on time.

I am almost done shopping...

I am about 50% wrapped

The house looks like a war zone, and 20 people are coming over Christmas Eve. I am working MTW, leaving about 2 on Wednesday to go to church at 3.

DH and I are in a disagreement on if we should pick up some hors d'ourves platters from the local store. ( I am thinking really simple - fruit kabobs, a veggie tray and a cheese/sausage tray. DH is off this week, and I just want to have something easy with little or no fuss. It is his family, and he thinks the above selection of snacks is "too healthy" for his family.

I am picking up a pan of Lasagna and garlic from a great italian restaurant. I don't even feel bad about not doing a home cooked meal. There are not too many things I could do and hve the entree be ~$50 for 20 people. And, since I don't like to cook - this is perfect!

I insist on mulled apple cider...and if anyone wants to bring something - we are asking them to bring cookies for dessert.

All in all - his family is much easier to entertain than mine. Paper plates, plastic forks, plastic cups are perfectly fine with this group. The nice part - my in-laws all help to get things cleaned up. My family never offers to do anything...and then they stand in my way talking to me while I am working my behind off cleaning up.

Good luck! Now, all I have to do is just get off the disboards to start on that cleaning.

And a "Good Morning" right back at cha!! :)

I have wrapping left to do - and grocery shopping for the Christmas Eve food..

I suppose I "could" wash the kitchen floor - BUT - they're predicting a nasty mix of snow and rain here on Christmas Eve so it seems kind of pointless..

Come on girl - GET MOVING - LOL...........:teeth:

I certainly won't spend too much time on the floor...there is no point. And, did you ever hear what Phyllis Diller said about washing the kitchen floor?

"The worst part about washing the kitchen floor is...6 months later you have to do it again."

good morning! The gifts are wrapped, packed and ready to be loaded into the car tomorrow night, the house is clean ( yay thanks dh!) and the laundry is almost done... just 3 more loads to go!

I have to pack clothes, get the house sitters lists together, water the plants, pay attention to the animals lest they think were abandoning them for good ;) ( they wont even notice were gone I bet, the housesitter spoils them rotten :) ) and make sure the children all have their snacks and bags packed for the trip! WOW How did my parents travel as much as we did??? This is a lot of work!!

:) Have a wonderful Holiday everyone well be back in a couple of weeks :)

Well....I woke up thinking about all I had to do- it's 4:13am!!!
zzzzz uh,oh....house is a mess. Still have to shop. Wrapping
to do. Leaving for WDW Christmas night so there's all the
trip preparation to finish. Grocery shopping. See that the cat
has adequate care. Are all my PS done? Recheck hotel ressies.
Wash the van, clean it out. Pay bills....is there money for that?
Find and consolidate lists. Thankfully, no one is coming HERE
for Christmas this year... We only put up a tree, the stockings
and a wreath on the front door as well as some haphazard
lights outside the DH wrapped around the porch as a suprise
for DS. My biggest fear-that I've forgotten something.
Oh yeah, trying to relax as this IS my vacation.
merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Well, all the shopping I wanted to finish over the weekend didn't happen due to family illness. So, now I'm really behind. I have more shopping to do, I have to start wrapping, grocery shop for xmas dinner and clean the house ( having company for xmas). I will go over my list this morning so I can do some shopping before 5yo goes to school and then I'll need to make another trip when she is in school. All this and I have to find time to visit my dad in the hospital. Is this what they mean by "the Christmas rush?!"

I'm off to work.......:( I'd rather go shopping then to work any day...the only day i have off is Christmas day....oh well...better then not having a day off at all huh? ughhhh, i really don't feel like going to work this morning..... someone help meeeeeeeeeee..... oh well..I ...need....to ....push.....my....self.....got.....to........go to.............work:rolleyes: Have a great day everyone....see ya tonighttttttttttttt:wave:

I was up at 4 but REFUSED....ABSOLUTELY REFUSED to get out of bed. Didn't really go back to sleep, though....so here I am....groggy....and tons to do!

Have a great day, all!

Good morning again. :sunny: Yep tons to do and no time to do it. I'm off to work in a few minutes. I'm almost done shopping, I've got to go through and find all the presents and remember what I got for everyone, then decide if I need anything more.

For those of you getting ready for trips, have a wonderful, magical time and if you don't mind could you swing this way and pick me up too. ;) ;)

I still have some presents to wrap, not many, and I have to make the desserts for Christmas Eve with my family. I won't do this till tomorrow night and probably bake the pies in the morning before going, I love the desserts to be as fresh as they can be. I will make the fudge and cookies the night before.

My next project is DDs birthday the day after Christmas. We will have a few individuals over that day and then on Saturday is her party with her friends. After that DH and I are off with my family to take my Mom to the casino for a night, this is the last thing on her wish list. I hope she is up to the trip. The cancer is really taking a toll on her. I need to get my house cleaned since the 'sitters' are coming over to our house to watch DDs and my niece.

For as much as I had to do before Christmas it all came together so I am positive that the remaining will come together in good timing.

I still have a few certificates to get, nothing major. We have lots of wrapping to finish, Christmas cards to finish, cooking to be done and then finally the house cleaned (it is a complete disaster area right now). Good luck to everyone as we are getting down to the wire.

Good Morning!

My house is a disaster, but I'm all done shopping and only have 2 more gifts to wrap. :bounce:
Just hoping I get over this stupid cold by Weds.

Ugh.

Those hives I was fighting went away over Thanksgiving, but are back full force and have now spread to my face as well :( . I look terrible, itch all over, and am totally exhausted.

But, other than that, I'm good. LOL!! I've got 2 of 4 Christmas presents made (I'm doing crossstitch for my parents), and have bought all the rest.

Our tree is *up*. Not decorated yet, but at least it's up and has lights and a garland. LOL!

Still have to wrap everything, too.
