I booked a 2 bedroom for a week in July at HHI. It will be my family (DS11, DD8, DW, and me) and my brothers family (DS 2, DD 6 months, DW and him).

I wanted to see if 7 nights would be too much at HHI. maybe 4 or 5 nights might be better.

Thanks
Ron

We visited DHHIR for the first time last August. We stayed for five nights but definitely could have stayed longer. Next time we will stay for at least seven nights.

If you and your family like the beach then you'll be set. We didn't do too much outside of the beach and my kids were a bit bored because they were used to the go-go-go lifestyle of the parks. Kids were 14 and 10 when we went 5 years ago. BUT there is plenty to do if you are adventurous and get out there. Plenty of pool parties, kid activities, fishing or crab-fishing off the pier, local site-seeing within driving distance on the island. I don't know if Shannon Tanner is still around, but his family/kid-centered entertainment is a quick walk across the marina in the evening along with weekly fireworks in the area. He was really funny. It's really what you decide to make of it. I loved it.

Well, we just stayed for 10 nights, and that wasn't too long.

I could LIVE at HHI. So much to do, so many places to eat! Rent bikes, go mini-golf, boat rides, on top of the MANY Disney activities.

We did 7 nights last year for our first visit and upped it to 8 nights this year. We loved relaxing and not having to rush to get anything done like a visit to WDW.

We go a full week about every other year or slightly more and we've gone for 8, 9 & 14 days in the past. It would not be too much for us but we do love HHI. The last time we did 7 nights on HHI with 34 or so family and 7 nights in Savannah at the Bluegreen timeshare there with just my spouse, sister and her spouse. It was a perfect mix for our group. We're there next summer for 9 nights with 42 people. This assumes you'll have a car, I would not visit HHI without one.

We always stay 6 nights and it's. Ever enough. And we only do 2 beach days (half of us are fair skinned and too kxb sun is bad). There's so much to do at the resort and the island is packed with fun things.

7 nights or more would better IMO. In event you do happen to get bored you can go to surrounding places eg Savannah, Beaufort and even Charleston.
