We've never missed a visit to Japan in EPCOT to eat at their teppan restaurant. They have remodeled and it is lovely, but the prices have really risen and I would like ideas for offsite Japanese dining. Thanks.
Amura on Sand Lake Road is excellent, tho probably as pricey as EPCOT. I also hear good things about Kobe, at least the one on Palm Parkway (in with Hooters and CiCis Pizza, but try not to let that put you off).
Kobe is excellent, in terms of food and dining experience. The chef's always put on a great show. We've NEVER had a bad meal/experience here and we always go there when family comes in from out of town, and on our own.
Its on the Palm Parkway, very near Disney. And like Jason71 said, dont let the Hooters sway you, theres a few other nice restaurants in that center too.
At Kobe and Benihana do they have the traditional teppanyaki fare? We went to the one in Epcot and were very disappointed. No fried rice - only white, no soup and I'm not sure if they had the ginger salad or not. My family was like ummm what?
