Good ideas for breakfast

I'm staying onsite at WDW and I'd like to start the day with a good breakfast. I'm looking for good suggestions and ideas on the following:

Best place to breakfast - resort (AKL in my case), parks, offsite?

Cost / value - a big, expensive breakfast every day will be bad on my wallet and my waistline

Convenience - cost, time and inconvenience of travelling to an offsite restaurant vs. quality, price and variety

Alternatives such as breakfast snacks in our room

Our breakfasts - we are on a budget...

Room if do not have a late breakfast ADR.

We do a food store shop on our way to WDW (FL Tours offers a 30 minute stop).

We buy plastic utensils, bowls, plates, paper towels, small box of garbage bags (be nice to your mousekeeper), cereal, fruit, snacks.

We eat breakfast in the room. We use one garbage bag each AM for our breakfast trash.

If we have a late 10:30 AM ADR character breakfast (Crystal Palace, Norway, 1900 Park Faire, Chef Mickey's) then we do a snack bar or fruit in the AM.
We plan late character breakfast's on early entry morning days.


We buy milk for breakfast the night before in the WDW resort gift shop or snack area.

The moderate & deluxe resorts have refrigerators in the rooms, which are free to use. If you do not have a refrigerator in the room (value, Swan/Dolphin, offsite) - then buy a foam cooler at the food stop to store your milk at night.


The snacks and fruit we buy are also great for afternoon or evening munchies.
