Good hotels in Key West/ FL

Dut to fly out to Miami on the 24th - 1st week down the coast before heading up to Orlando and WL + AKL . Am holding off booking hotels until the last minute but can't make up my mind which to choose. Thinking of a couple of days in Fort Lauderdale and then to the Keys. Can anyone recommend some good hotels in either area. If weather looks to be nasty then we'll rethink our plans and head to where ever we're told!

There are loads of small guest houses etc in Key West. We stayed at Centre court (http://www.centercourtkw.com/) and had a great time.

We stayed at the Wyndham Casa Marina, Key West. Very Nice indeed.

Heaven on earth and you must stay in The Jungle Room. Great room and a small swimming pool and hot tub just outside the your entrance which most people seem to presume is for private use so you'll probably find that you will be the only people using it (we did!).

Great location too.
