We want to take a break from WDW and would like to visit Universal Studios/IOA and Seaworld on our next trip. Any suggestions for suite type hotels near that area with excellent prices?

We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel which is on property of US and islands of adventure.
We got the entertainment card rate (www.entertainment.com) of 129.00 per night plus tax for a pool view standard room. Two big queen beds. YOu can get a garden view room for 117.00 a night plus tax. PLUS you get front of the line perks all day at the parks, and once you do this, you will never want to wait in line again. It was aboslutely the best vacation we have had. Only there 2 days but we did everything over and over again. Longest wait time was about 15 minutes. Most wait times were 5 minutes.

We also stayed at the Hard Rock two weeks ago. Awesome hotel, beautiful room for $ll7. nitely. Your kids will love it...the pool is awesome. Front of the line access is so much fun for kids (and adult).

Hard Rock also has a bus service to Seaworld.

The Radisson Universal (www.radissonuniversal.com) is a smart twin-tower property (completely renovated in 1999) right next to Universal, while the Hawthorn Suites are a very good choice next to SeaWorld (in Westwood Boulevard). There is also a new Hawthorn Suites close to Universal, but it is not one I have stayed at.

Do you know if this is a promotional offer for a short time period? Is there a website for the Hard Rock that you know of? Do the rooms have a frig?

www.entertainment.com the book is 29.95 and comes with a card that you have to show the hotel to get the 50% discount. You can buy the book for your area, since you only need the card to get the discount. I bought a coupon book for NJ and will use the card for HRH getting a room for 117.50 a night (plus an extra 10.00 a night for a fridge) I couldn't pass up the FOTL plus we were going to stay at a one room suite at the Holiday Inn express (Right accross from the entrance to US for 109.00 a night)But the FOTL access is just too nice. And if you don't have the multiday pass you get EE to the US and IOA

Look under the universal section here, it will have a link to Hard Rock, both are Loews properties, you need to sign up for Loew's First on their web page, might get upgrade(free), this rate is at least good thru summer, but it is limited in number, I know I almost got shut out,
I think this will be great place, the last couple of times we did Disney was with disabled guest, once you've skipped most of the lines its hard to go back. We passed like two hours lines in MK,
we probably rode 15 rides in a day, with a couple of hot hours out at Poly for a rest. Never underestimate FOTL in the summer, it is really hot in those lines. You can use the time you save at the water slide at HR....

You can also try the Clarion Universal. Just go to the Orlando Hotel Discounts section on this page for rates.
