We have some friends who are bringing their daughters to Disney for the first time. They are 5 and 8. They are also flying. I am putting together a basket of stuff. I'm trying to think of stuff they might need while down there in the parks.

Any ideas?

Glow necklaces/bracelets. I got my nieces a bunch at Target that were on clearance from Halloween. They are going in December.

Here are some ideas:

* sets of 2 quarters/1 penny for penny press machines
* jibbitz if they croc
* disposable camera
* swim goggles for pool

I was at Target today and they have a bunch of Princess stuff (and Cars) in the dollars bins at the front of the store. I think the notepads were unlined so they could either dram in them or use them as Autograph books. I saw crayons to. Not sure what else they had, I was more focuse on the car socks. DS3 prefers Cars over the Princess...go figure! :rotfl:

The Dollar Store has glow bracelets/necklaces too. Also disney coloring books.
If you have a disney store nearby, their Tshirts are usually on sale pretty cheap, $6 or so.

Target has a cute Minnie Tshirts right now and some Hannah Montana clothes too. Target and Walmart both have princess/tink lip chapstick. Sunglasses are good too. Kroger (and sometimes Best Buy) has Disney disposable cameras.

You can get them a charm bracelet to start...the parks are full of character charms to collect. Walmart has necklaces with Hannah, Tink or Princesses.

Notebooks are good for the plane/car ride. I get my girls the nice notebooks as the disney store (on clearance) and they use it as a diary for the trip. We usually write down our favorite things about each day or what we learned that day.

Can you tell I shop all year long for their Disney goody bags??...we are going in 3 weeks, so I was just going through my storage bin!

They are the perfect age for Guide to the Magic for Kids. It is an excellent book w/ all the attractions, stickers for each, journal pages, etc.

They can use it before their trip to generate excitement, during to fill everything out, and then it is a great souvenier and trip "report" for kids afterwards.

How about checking out pin trading. You can get some great pin lots on ebay to trade or collect.:thumbsup2
