Good, free iphone/touch apps for toddlers

ETA, my DS is 5 now and he uses my iTouch all the time. I think we might get him his own touch instead of a DS for Christmas. You can do so much more with the iTouch! Is there a way to put parental controls on the wireless feature of the iTouch> Anyone know?
yes there is I have it blocked on dd's.

Pardon my stupidity...I just got an Ipod Touch yesterday. How exactly do you get the apps? Do you connect to the internet and get them that way? Or do you get them on your computer, and then install them on the Ipod?
As you can tell, I am clearly too old to have one. :lmao:

above all else when giving a child an ipod touch buy an otter box you can look it up on amazon it is the strongest case on the market... my first ipod got a cracked screen when my toddler dropped it only about 3 feet and it was in a case... the otter box is a lifesaver she now has her own 16gb touch (she will be 3 in march) that she got for christmas and she loves it and learns so much, but the free games arn't very good but there are lots of good cheap games... she loves tozzle, teach me, cerious george coloring book, cute math, and finger painting ... for a dollar a piece they really arn't budget breakers. but one bad fall without a good case and that ipod is toast!

When you're in Itunes, go to the Itunes store. On the top, one of the tabs is 'App store' and you can search there. Also you can type something into the search bar like 'free puzzle' and when the search results appear, there'll be an Apps section with a place to click 'see all'. To buy the app, just click on the free or buy app button. :goodvibes

Nobody mentioned Peek-a-boo Barn which is my 2 year olds favorite.

And if you've ever been to the Kneebouncers website, they have a new app (don't think it's free though).

The Disney app is free. :)

Hands down, my 2 y.o. spends the most time playing Tozzle- it's a toddler puzzle game. There is a free lite version, but it only has a couple of the puzzles. The problem with the lite versions of things is that it constantly asks if you want to upgrade- hard for a toddler to navigate around the popups. He also likes Monkey's jumping on the bed (which really isn't a game) and the Chipmunk App (which also isn't really a game). There is also some cool stuff for them on the free Disney App. There is a bouncing tigger game that DS loves.

I did also buy Toy Story Mania, but you have to unlock things. The game isn't as fun for me as I thought it would be, and it's a little too hard at parts for a 2 y.o., so I really can't recommend that one.
