Good deal at POR? is insurance important?

I had a post card pin # and got POR 7 days/6 nights, 7 day base tickets and water park and more for 5, and food for $2873.05 is this good or can I do better? The park tickets are for 3 adult tickets ( my sons 11 now- I guess they think he is an adult) and two kid tickets. I still feel this is too high. I have taken the insurance still thinking about canceling it, it's $ 119.00. Does anybody have an thoughts? Thanks Chris

from 44-6 days is $100, from 1-5 is $200, I think (but confirm). IF you think your plans would be set by 6 days out and no mishaps, then the most you lose is $100---cheaper than the $119. Also, I think that they charge $59 per adult regardless of price of package.--I have a $600 package that I was going to have to pay $59 for ins. for 1 adult.

I would find out what it covers. I decided not to get it but I have since read that it would cover some medical expenses if you got sick-like sending a doctor to your hotel room. Since 2 of my 3 children got sick on vacation last year and the 3rd on the car ride home from the airport I may have got it just for that peace of mind. The kids actually didn't need a doctor last year but it would have nice to have the backup if needed.

You got a good deal. I am staying at POR 6 nights 7 days with 3 adults and 2 children (13 and 5) MYW base tickets with dinning for $2774. I was able to get in on the 40% room code out prior this year but the same package with out discounts would have cost me $400 dollars more, so you should be saving in the range of that yourself, since your package is very similar to ours.
