Hi! Has anyone found a good rental rate for a one week rental at MCO in May? I am just starting to look but it has been a while since I rented a car for a pleasure trip (i.e. without using the discount rates from work). I do plan to go to my AAA office to get their discount code for Hertz, but I would love some other suggestions. Thanks everyone!

I'm in the same boat - looking for May as well and I haven't found anything I would consider reasonable yet. Hopefully National will release some new coupons (most of the current ones are only through 3/31). We're AAA members too, but prices are high there as well. Still have some time, but this is the first time I haven't been able to get a reasonable rate this far out.

Well, we currently have a reservation with Dollar and were able to get a minivan for less than $300 for 10 days. I used a code that someone here posted KISS2. I personally don't like Dollar, the last time we rented from Dollar we had problems with their garage attendant when we returned the car. I'm not going to tell you the whole story, but, it was taken care of as soon as DH spoke to the manager. I have been spoiled by my EC membership at National, but, it seems that their rates aren't as great as they used to be :confused3 .

Good luck!!

Thanks for the info. I may check it out. I have never rented from Dollar before so I will need to think about it. Normally I rent from National, Avis, or Hertz. But I will definitely think about Dollar.

I also have a rental for dollar this May because (so far) they are the most reasonable - which is still high. I'm a fan of National and the EA but I don't want to pay their fees, so I'll just have to see how Dollar works this time.

I noticed on Mousesavers, that you can get a free EA membership through them. I signed up this week.

The best rates that I have foudn so far are Hertz rentals through AAA. It looks like the AAA rates are even lower than my Hertz #1 Gold. I'm still looking! Hopefully, I can find something even better.
