Well, we're back from BWI and reality has set in. Boo hoo.
BWI was a very nice hotel but we still prefer BC. Check-in last Sunday about 5 p.m. was very fast -- about 10 minutes. I had called the previous Thursday to make sure they had our ressies linked. Good thing I did because the ressie for one night had my name misspelled. We got all of our room requests except for connecting rooms and that was due to a computer glitch. We stayed in 2321 and 2323, non-smoking and garden views, although 2323 really looked at side of 2-story courtyard building.
When we first checked into 2321 we thought it had a slight odor, a soapy, cleaning fluid type smell but it wasn't bad and we didn't notice it the next day. Hallway had a slight mousy smell at the area it makes a turn.
Luna Park pool was okay but there are very few lounge chairs and tables around the pool and they have signs up that chairs are not permitted in certain areas. We had a hard time finding chairs that were in the sun most of the day. Quiet pool was nice. Hot tub was very hot. Neither pool was very crowded during our stay.
We used the health club once during our stay. Equipment was very good and staff very friendly.
Proabably the biggest disadvantage to staying at the BWI for me was the fact I couldn't get iced tea in my refillable mug until after the Spoodles take-out window or the pool bar was open. The Bakery only has hot tea.
Since we were using our free nights from purchasing BCV, we thought BWI was okay. We were glad we stayed there instead of the Poly because we used the hot tub almost every night. It's not a resort we would want to stay at again.
Bus service to MK was very fast and efficient. We noticed coming back from MK and DD that they sometimes have separate busses to Swan & Dolphin, Y&BC, and BWI. We used the S&D bus coming back from MK and walked across the bridge to the BWI. The bus we took back from DD only went to BWI.
If anyone has any questions, please ask.
