To be frank, VMK is making some appropriate steps:
1. Haley and Jake's new speal about a trade is a trade
2. The two original accounts being ban

The thing is they haven't done enough. I completely agree that this kid should never be allowed into VMK again. I don't think they are playing favorites and I honestly don't think they don't care. I just think that VMK needs to come up with a clever way to keep this kid from coming on again. This could take a while..

Yesterday Sweet and I got involved in 2 seperate situations. In dealing with the first we stumbled in to flip boys room, the low life you are talking about here.

First. A very close friend of ours had her account stolen. No it was not by flip boy that we know of but this person has the nerve to be in trade rooms with our friends character. Long story short. Sweet and I were sitting in message with our friend while we were following said friends "girl character" from trade room to trade room. Our friend has 2 stitch hats, sparrow and tons of other rare. Needless to say our friend was upset. I immediately went in Host fins room, pic this, kept accidently getting on her arg ride and screaming I NEED HELP PLZ I NEED YOUR HELP FIN. Again long story short, Fin did a report for me (thanks to Scooter) on this theft. In the meantime I was following my friends character, begging traders in the room, plz do not trade with this girl her account was stolen.

Well again sweet and I followed this character and ended up in FLIP BOYS room. We stood there several minutes observing his antics. We think we were in a room where he had a handfull of his clones one of which got temporarily on my friends list. So yes he is very much out there in vmk, still pulling his old tricks. Using many titles, yes very bold names, including guests.

I realize I cant post our friends title here. So we're trusting that vmk soon kicks it in gear and shuts down that person as well as flip boy.

In short. Be a smart trader. Never trade several windows without a leader or someone YOU trust. If a deal seems to good to be true, leave it at that. If your being pressured to trade fast, never make hasty decisions. Even if this trade person has a friend with them that says the deal is great. Trust me, they are the same person!! He is using several characters to pressure trade. Be smart and safe traders.

Yes they did ban several of his accounts for the full 10 yr period. But he's creating new accounts constantly to keep it "fresh". Maybe vmk needs to take more harsh steps in stopping ppl like him. Because you know someone is going to come along down the road that will want to top him. Maybe they need to have ppl sign up with name, address and/or credit card for a type of deposit. Get caught scamming and you lose your deposit. Just maybe the system is to lax.

Rob has some great advice. We all need to become smart traders to avoid being scammed.

Scammers are never going to go away. They will never stop trying to come up with ways to get valuable game items. Even if one is stopped for good, another will come along and take their place. We can PM names to make others aware, but the people scamming will simply make new ID's.

The scammers will only be stopped if we refuse to play their games and fall for their tricks. Being aware of how people scam and being very careful when trading will help prevent scammers from finding victims.

Be careful out there.

He said he was Quitting VMK because he "Didn't want to be one of those poor people that everyone hates!"

He had worked over a year to collect all of his RARE, and lost it all in one bad trade.

VMK should not = happiness in life and your self image. If VMK shut down today...tra la diddly dee.... Life goes on.

I tried to warn my buddy against this player... but he really wanted stitch hat and decided to trade with him..my buddy lost everything.

So here is just a warning to the people who might read this.. "He's back.. and back to old tricks."

The really "gutsy" thing this player did... after he spam for the stitch hat.. he had the nerve to show up in my room again later wearing the hat!!

First, I don't think a bigger trade window is the best way to go. I think it will just be another way for the scammers to get more items from people instead of it helping with those trades. Of course I find it nuts with how much some have to trade for virtual things. LOL That is just me. though.
Second, they need to find all his toons and delete them. Don't let them stay in game. Hit the delete button on them all. Anything pops up from his IP delete. As has been said though, they need to ban his compuer..not the IP. It can be done and needs to be.

Sadly, maybe they need to do something like this. If they are kids then give those parents a call and tell them how bad their child is being and they are not allowed in that game for scamming. OK I know it probably wouldn't work but the thought for some might be enough to scare them to not do it IF they know their parents wouldn't be happy that their kid did this..even in game. While I'm sure there would be those that have parents that don't care. Obviously something has to be done.

Totally agree with this! They have got to have some system set up that could red flag a new toon cause of their IP. If not maybe they should find one so they can get rid of that person right away. But obviously there is a long trail here with this dude and they could totally find it if they took the time. As was said by someone else and I've said before, there will be others that see he is a scammer and figure he is still in game and they can get away with that too...and there will be someone that will want to top him.

But if they ban all his accounts he could always go to another computer in a different location and create a new account with a made up email address. VMK isn't taking this problem into action! Players are report him but staff aren't doing anything. BTW can someone tell me his VMK name in the game cuz i dont want to be spammed.
