Good bridesmaids Gift?

Hi there,
Just thinking about what I would like to get my bridesmaids for a wedding gift. I was thinking of a Vera Bradley Photo Book ($11 each) with pictures of all of us for each girl.

Homemade stationary from http://www.designhergals.com, I bought the print at home membership for 40% off (about $28) and have made "custom gals" and am having it printed on staionary for each girl with their names. (Total cost of paper about $59). If you've never seen the site it's pretty cool. I think it is overpriced to order things, but if you buy a 1 year print at home membership you can do it yourself. I went to AC Moore and Staples and bought pretty paper and boxes for them. I'll put up pics this weekend in my PJ once I finish them.
Then I was thinking maybe a spa robe with their initials on it, but I dont know.
Any ideas?
What did you give your BM's?
Also, should I get a little extra something for the MOH?

I am getting married in June and bought tote bags from E-bay with the girls first names embroidered on the bag (the bag and thread used are our wedding colours).

Then once in a while I just pick up something to put in the tote bag. So far I have a pair of pajamas, a garter, a picture frame, and a small gift certificate from the salon in which we are getting our hair and makeup done.

I love your idea of the photoalbum and the LOVE the idea of the monogrammed robes -- very thoughtful and what girl wouldn't love that?

I got Juicy Couture makeup bags (large sized) from a friend who works at Liz C (LOVE their employee sales) (marked down to $35 from $175)...then I filled them up with various toiletries for their trip. I spent months getting free samples from various websites and various sale items I picked up along the way...when all was said and done they each had lotion, body balm, shower gel, deodorant, feminine products (just in case), shower cap, pony tails, mani kit, pedi kit (got those at target on clearance for .25 from the $1 section), mini perfumes, a small hairbrush, pantene shampoo and conditioner, and ponds cleansing wipes among other things. (I spent in total only $40 each for those)

I have several different mailing addresses at my disposal so I used 6 addresses to request samples (try fatwallet or walmart samples). All you need is some time. I started back in July/August and I just gave them their bags last week. They all loved them.

My larger gift to them is Mickey earrings (purchased those at WDW) and a bracelet for them to wear at the ceremony, plus I'm taking them for mani/pedi's the day before the wedding and I'm covering LaJeune's hair and makeup the morning of the ceremony.

Wow those are some really nice BM gifts! I had just my MOH (my niece) and I bought her dress, shoes, and jewelry, and after the wedding I gave her a picture of us in a silver engraved frame.

Let's see, I've been a BM many times and what have I gotten?
- A faux leather and silver-plated ID bracelet
- A silver-plated bracelet with my initial on a charm
- Fake gold and purple earrings to wear during the ceremony (I don't wear gold jewelry so after the ceremony I gave them away)
- Imitation pearl hair clips (I have very short hair and couldn't use them)
- A framed photo of me and the bride from the wedding day, which was probably my favorite and why I used it for my MOH
- And one bride didn't do gifts at all, so I got nothing

Maybe I need new friends?
Seriously, OP, those do sound like nice gifts and I love the robe idea - who doesn't love a plush robe?!

Hello

I went to Arribas Bros in Downtown Disney and got them each a tinkerbelle themed glass jewelry box that is personalized with their first name. I wish I had taken a picture of it though, because I can't find it anywhere online

That's also what I'm giving to my maids of honor.

I'm also giving each of them a Mickey Mouse t-shirt that I bought on Disney's shopping website.

I'm Vera Bradley addicted so I got my MOH (my step sister) a Vera Bradley Backpack

In Yellow Bird because of her favorite color (yellow) and my wedding color (yellow!). (46 on Ebay) I've bought some Bath and Body Works stuff in Sweet Pea with their semi annual sale (Creamy Body Wash, Poof, Body Cream, and Body Butter total price about 15) since she loves Sweet Pea. I'm thinking about getting her an IPOD Nano, which is 149.99, and have it engraved, but if I can't afford it - I'll just get her the shuffle.

I'm having a JR BM (My niece Ashlyn, 10) and FG (my other niece Emily 6) and I've gotten them backpacks and bought all sorts of little odds and ends to put in there. I should take pictures and post in my PJ.

Yup--I noticed it too.

In all honestly, I've never used the jewelry, decorative boxes, or picture frames I've gotten. In my most recent wedding, the darling bride got me a Disney gift card. Love her!!!

Are your bridesmaids the practical type or are they more sentimental? They might appreciate a nice gift card for a manicure or a restaurant card.

I will say that I would enjoy a photo book if it came with pictures. That might be a very nice keepsake. Usually you just get the photo book and it sits collecting dust until your next garage sale. If it were actually an assembled album I that would be awesome!

Then I got them all a Bag thats nautical looking from Old Navy
A wristlet from guess for the day of
and a starfish pendant from macys

My MOH i got hers with swarvorski crystals from macys. Its beautiful!

Yes, I went to look for my banana man yesterday and it wasn't there!!
