Hello again...

We will be in DLP this July for both of my sons birthdays (2nd and 3rd July).

My oldest son has his heart set on Pizza Planet but we are aware this is rarely open... If it isn't open what other decent walk-in restaurants would be nice for a newly 7yr old?

As for my other little one, he turns 3 on the 2nd July so it's his birthday first. He's really into Mickey Mouse and all the rest of the clubhouse gang. A character meal sounds perfect for him so we may end up booking Cafe Mickey for him, or we may just have a small tea party back at our villa (we are driving and staying offsite).

Inventions a definite no no. Far too overpriced!!

Rainforest cafe may be a good idea for 7 year old?? If your wanting to keep costs down share a couple of pizzas and fries :)

I've heard some not so pleasant things about Rainforest Cafe... About the food not being so nice.

Ideally we're wanting it to be a lunchtime meal too.
What restaurants are there with fun themes? My mind has gone absolutely blank! We've eaten at Hakuna Matata which was ok but we probably wouldn't eat there again.

We could likely turn into difficult customers as dh and I are both currently following the slimming world plan which means no pizza or fries for us lol. We'll be eating pasta or jacket potatoes if we can. Haha.

What's pizzeria bella notte like?

Cafe Mickey may be a good plan for them both. Remember you don't need to book a meal or eat a full menu plan - we shared pizza and fries without a problem and they are very large sizes. You can also order a birthday cake, usually brought out by some characters.

We really enjoyed Rainforest Cafe, having previously avoided it. My youngest loved the theme.

There is also a counter service in the Studios, which is Pirates of the Caribbean themed - if they like pirates?

Don't know if they still have character teas/lunches in Cowboy Cookout - you could maybe look into that.

Hope you all have a lovely time :goodvibes

The pirates themed counter restaurant sounds great! They both love pirates :)

They've stopped the character cowboy cookout meals now sadly. We were lucky enough to eat there last March though and it was fab! Great atmosphere and character interaction.

Last time we went there was 2010 and it was HSM over one side and Pirates over the other. :)

Found a couple of pics
