While I'm sure the courses are all great...some are PGA...wondering if anyone has played any of these courses and has any thoughts to share...my dh only has one day he can go play...

Hi Megg...If you are staying in Disney World or "on property" I would suggest Osprey Ridge...

If staying off property, strongly suggest Mystic Dunes, about 2 miles south on Old Lake Wilson Road south of Hwy 192..easy to get to (turn in at the huge Wyndam Palms entrance)..Great course, fun to play and great staff...

All the best....Ted

We played Magnolia November 2004. After many years of watching the PGA tour play there DH just had to! He enjoyed the course, thought it was challenging. I didn't really play since they paired us up with another guy and I didn't want him to know how horrible my game is. ;) But I had a good time taking pictures in/around the Mickey sandtrap and videotaping the experience. This September we're playing Palm and Eagle Pines. Trying to work on my game for then but if not, I understand Eagle Pines has a Mickey putting green that could keep me busy. :rotfl:

My dh loves all of the courses at WDW. Osprey Ridge is one he enjoys a lot but he likes them all. :thumbsup2

DH has played them all except for one. He has been saving Osprey Ridge till last. From what he has told me, that is the best course Disney has to offer and wanted to save the best for last. I asked him to rank them and this is what he's told me. Magnolia & Palm are both beautiful, but Magnolia has wider fairways and is not as tight as Palm. (I hope that makes sense to you golfers, because it doesn't to me :teeth: ) They are located next to each other in case DH wants to squeeze in 36 holes. Eagle Pines is a nice course with plenty of water and bunkers on every hole. Number 18 is a great finishing hole with a view of the fountains, and a real challenge when the wind is in your face. His least favorite is Lake Buena Vista. It's am alright course, but he wasn't too thrilled playing so close to the Villas. Apparently there were some kids out there that thought it was hillarious to scream during his swing. When they finished the round, they told the pro shop, who apologized and said they would take care of that right away.
So long story short (sorry) , according to DH Osprey Ridge is the best course at Disney to play. But he does say, the others are just as nice.

DH has played all 99 holes, some several times. He hasn't met a WDW golf course he didn't like. Every time he's played Palm, there's an alligator there (if you don't like alligators). LBV is kind of tight, what with all the buildings around, but he likes that because it reminds him of where he plays all the time-we live in a golf course community. He agrees that Osprey Ridge is the most impressive, as well as the most difficult.
