We will be at WDW 11/28-12/4 and want to play some golf. Not experts but can play, looking for some thoughts on 2 courses on property to play.
Thanks

Hello! Are you staying on Disney property? We played Magnolia last year which was convenient because it's pretty close to the GF where we stayed.
I don't think you can go wrong with any of the courses (Oak Trail is a 9-hole).
Don't remember why DH chose Magnolia, but it was nice and it's DH's goal to play all the Disney courses eventually.

One word about golf at WDW:

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!!!

DH golfs a lot at WDW and to him the most impressivive course is Osprey Ridge. Eagle Pines is also pretty, less difficult too. His favorite is Lake Buena Vista, but some find that course tight with lots of water. If you want to play 2 rounds, be sure to ask about the "2 for" special price for a discount.

DH has golfed at Magnolia, Palm and Osprey Ridge so far. It was nice to see the Mickey sand trap on the Magnolia course. But my DH agrees with Simba's Mom's DH, Osprey Ridge is definitely impressive. Also the most challenging one he's played on so far.

First, WDW has nice course-$$$
but if you want to play the nicest course down in that area
Hyatte Grand Cypress has a course modeled after St. Andrews-$$$$
They also has one of the best Sunday Brunch you'll ever have-make
reservations

Thanks for all the input. I think Magnolia and Eagle Pines. Maybe if weather (and wife) cooperate might add Palm.

Prices for resort guests that time of year for the 5 disney 18-hole courses range from about $90 to $135 with the Lake Buena Vista course being the least expensive, the Osprey Ridge the most, and the Magnolia, Palm and Eagle Pines courses in the $110 to $120 range. All prices go down about half at 2 p.m. If you have a park Annual Pass you can get 30% off the pre-2 p.m. price for up to four players playing together with one AP. Price includes carts and golf tees

Osprey Ridge and the Palm are the most difficult, Lake Buena Vista is the easiest but none is overly difficult or easy. Magnolia is the longest but has the widest fairways, Palm has the most water in play and narrowest fairways, Eagle Pines is the shortest but is "target" golf with most trouble around the greens. Osprey by far is the most impressive course with the most memorable holes; if you can only play one Osprey would be it. Palm and Magnolia are used for the pro tournament in October and Magnolia is the one with the Mickey ear-shaped trap that you see in many promo pieces for the courses. All drain water fairly well but Lake Buena Vista takes the longest and thus it remains soggy after a heavy rain longer than the others. Deep in the woods but within driving distance on one hole of Eagle Pines is a sign that says "Golf instruction is available at the club house" and it also has an in-ground yardage marker to the green that says "You got to be kidding." Greens at the courses are large and thus a shot from the 150 yard-marker can sometimes actually be 170 to a back pin or 130 to a front one.

Courses are generally kept in first rate condition. Cart with large variety of drinks and snacks usually visits about every 4 holes. You can rent clubs and shoes but the $40 to $50 price justifies bringing your own.

Also avaialble is a 9-hole "executive" course, Oak Trail which is walking and pull carts only, green fee is generally low, under $40, and it usually has a lot of junior and beginner players.
