Anyone done this? We have never done this on dcl but are thinking of letting our teens try. Is it any good or just a gimmick? Is it the same as the ones on land?
My son and I played on the Dream, and like condorthb stated, the room gets very hot. We also found that whatever sensors are being used to track the speed and location of the ball/puck are not very accurate. I guarantee that I can throw a football faster then 12mph, but the machine had other ideas.
We did this on the Dream in November. My two boys played (sports simulator) and we had time so my Dad and I joined in a few rounds too. I do not remember it being hot in there at all. I feel like that would be memorable as I am claustrophobic. Perhaps they added air conditioning? I think it was a good value, we all had fun (except for fighting over who got to pick the games and the settings). I have never done a simulator like that before so I have nothing to compare it to.
We just returned from the Dream and my grandson did the simulator on 2 different days. He loved it! The doors to the room open automatically when someone walks by outside and people were coming in and out to watch or check for available times so it did get warm in the room at times.
