Golf - greens fees, club rentals, etc?

i'm thinking of giving the "gift of golf" to 2 members of my family for our September trip. In all of our trips, it's something they say they are going to do "next time" but just never do it. This trip, I say it's time they finally go golfing and am thinking of giving them Disney GC's for their birthdays but I want to make sure the GC's are enough (ball park) to cover greens fees, etc.

Can anyone please give me a rough idea what it might cost to play a round in September? And what are club rental fees? Anything else I should know? Thank you!

Those staying on Disney property can get free Club rentals I believe and can get a free cab voucher at the resort to get to golf.

Greens fees depends on season but hover around $99. Club rental is $20. Shoes are free. Also transportation to course is free. Just call Front Desk and they will call cab and give you voucher. I know this because the only way DH has come to Disney 10x is his golf day. He played golf with the kicker from the Green Bay Packers one year. Great drives - lousy short game lol

Club rental is $20 per person (free shoe rental) if staying at a WDW Resort, DVC Member, or Military. If not one of these, it's $50 with an additional $10 for shoes.

Green fees can vary so it'd be best to call for the specific dates you're going to be there. They can also tell you anything I might be missing.
