I am wondering what the best website is to find accurate infromation about the Disney golf courses. When we called, we were not given much help. We were told that the Mangolia and Palm were going to be under construction (well actually, first we were told there were no tee times avialable, with no mention of construction, but this seemed a little off, so we called back and were infromed of the construction) when we wanted to golf there , and also told that the best rate they could give us was $89 per person (which from the research I have done, appears to be the normal rate for June), and that we could not get a discount for having annual passes since we are getting free club rental for being resort guests. I have had a very hard time coming accorss accurate info. for the Disney golf courses. Has anyone else heard about this construction? Also, isn't club rental free for all guests staying on property no matter what? So why would we not be eligable for a discount since we have annual passes (according to the annual passholder information, we should recieve up to 30% off). We are thinking of booking at Disney's Ospery Ridge since it appears we can't play at Magnolia or Palm like we really wanted to. Is this course a decent one to play at? Any advice of suggestions in terms of playing golf at Disney? :confused3

I cant help about construction or rental but my DH played Ospry Ridge its a good test for golf. Mt DH is 4 handicap sometimes better whwn there is practice.

I just made 10 tee times this week for the end of June and the beginning of July . I was only able to get one tee time for Magnolia , the rest of my tee
times are split between LBV , Palm and Osprey . All early in the morning .
I have golfed all the courses and like Osprey the most .They have different
kinds of discount packages , in the past my son and I would get the two round pass at a reduced rate and they would let you get the the clubs for free for staying on Disney Property . During the summer the take one course
a week and plug the greens as well rebuild the sand traps and general maintenance . Hope this helps . I do bring my own clubs this way I have no
excuses for a bad day on the course . Hope you have a great time . :cool1:

Osprey has an event on the day my DH was going to play with DS. Which would be your second choice?

I believe you will find the best information on Disney Golf at their website here:
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/golf/

I don't understand why the rates aren't posted for beyond April 14 yet, it's kinda strange, but I have heard they may be reducing the Resort guest rates this summer. But nothing official yet.

As far as the free club rentals for resort guests this is what the web site says

Resort Guests Get Complimentary Golf Club Rental

Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels can swing into action with a complimentary club rental when they purchase a non-discounted round of golf at Disney's Palm, Magnolia, Lake Buena Vista or Osprey Ridge Golf Courses. Offer includes:

Choice of Titleist® and Cobra® clubs
Range balls
Transportation to and from your Walt Disney World Resort hotel*

The key is "non-discounted", if you use the AP discount the free rental can no longer be used.
The two round deals can be pretty good though.
As far as the construction goes, it is probably the normal maintenance they do on each of the courses during the year, they usually rotate the courses so there is usually never more tham one closed at a time.

I would try Magnolia if you can , but any one of the courses are great .
If you are going at the end of June early July the Palm can get pretty wet
and playing out of the Bermuda grass can be tough . Have a good time , I always have a great time playing golf especially with my son !

Thanks. I booked Palm but they still had Magnolia and LBV spots open so I think I will change to Magnolia. My son is only 9 so he tees off on junior tees and takes longer to get to the green. LBV may be a good match. Sounds like Palm would be too much of a challenge. Going Easter weekend. Got the play all day for $59 which includes range balls, cart, and club rentals. Not bad!

That is great :dance3: They did that on the Fourth last year as well pay on price and play all day at any course . Play one then go to another .

I would say LBV is the easiest , just thought I would put it out there . The course winds through OKW then by the TreeHouse Villas and ends up by Saratoga Springs resort. :woohoo:

While independent interior designers aren't an endangered species yet, the future of the interior design remains uncertain at best. Understanding the forces at play behind the interior design and remodeling industries are important for homeowners who are likely to need professional design services for their next remodeling project.

You may want to try www.wdwgolf.com for more info on Disney golf. I played the Palm and Magnolia last August and both were in great shape!

I'm heaind back down October 8th-15th, and I'm hoping that the prep work for the Children's Miracle Network Classic doesn't stop me from playing!
