Golf course or quiet pool view at OKW?

I made my first ressies at OKW this week and requested golf view b/c my father who is traveling with us is a golf nut. Then, I found some great pics of the quiet pools which looked like it may be fun to look out to. I know they are only "requests", but which do you think may result in better views? Also, are the quiet pools really "quiet"? If they are open late that could be a problem with getting DD3 to sleep.

I love golf course views- I am an early riser and I love going out on the balcony and seeing the birds and bunnies on the golf course and just taking in the views. The only down side is the noise from the mowers you sometimes hear.

The quiet pools are not always "quiet" if that makes a difference ;)

Being a golfer myself I always go for the golf course view. Sometimes it helps me feel better aout my game! :rotfl:

Either or...Some of the best golf course views also have views of water, but not necessarily the pools. The best view at OKW, IMHO, is 46, 55 and 56. To be honest, we have stayed all over this resort (with the exception of Turtle Pond area), and have not had anything I couldn't find something nice about. Once when we had first floor in building 29, we were closed in by high vegetation, but it was so serene and quiet, the lack of view didn't bother me at all. It just made me feel like I was on retreat in the woods.

First of all, as a dedicated hacker, I love the golf course views at OKW. And my wife, who's never stepped onto a green unless it also had a windmill or a mechanical clown on it, also prefers the golf view just because of its peaceful beauty (when the mowers aren't around, as mentioned above).

Anyway, here's my question -- We'll be staying in a GV for the first time this August. Anyone know roughly what percentage of the GVs have a golf view?

The only GVs that do NOT have golf course view are those in buildings 19. 53 amd 51. All others should have at least some view of the golf course, and even 19 will have a partial view from the balcony.

there isn't a pool view.

the choices are woods, water (these include the pool) and golf.

I LOVE OKW water views - some of the best at WDW.

I really love the non-pool water views - OKW has lots of water views.

We always like the golf course view, second or third floor. I am also an early riser and it is so peacefull to sit and look out over the course with my coffee.

Less than 30 days till we go home to OKW

We always request "water view" and I agree with Diane, the views from 46, 55, 56 are so nice. We stayed in 46 once, several years ago, and keep hoping to get placed back there again ! We saw so many egrets, ducks and other birds (some we had never seen before). Also, sometimes, a passing pontoon boat will come up the canal. Just a nice serene water/woodsy view.

The golf course view is SO funny! You see absolutely everything on the golf course--EVERYTHING! I am not a golfer, but I was totally entertained, it's like a circus sometimes! We were in building 64, and it was a hoot! I couldn't wait to get my coffee made, and get out to the patio to watch what was going on. I hated to go to the parks--once we saw 4 men golfing, and another 8 carts filled with family following along behind, and one of the members drove into the water hazard! :rotfl2: Watching everyone get the people and golf cart out was the most fun I've had in awhile! I swear, 1/2 the group ended up wet, even the little kids! :rotfl:

We love water view because of the critters. My kids usually go through MANY loaves of Winn Dixie bread feeding the little ducks that live at OKW. Really all the views are nice here... We just think the water views are the best!

As we have stayed here many times, I now look for access to a pool and a bus stop more than I worry about the view. I love #35 and the low #40's because they are close to Turtle Pond pool, our fave.

Have fun!

and the low #40's
Yep....bldg 43 had a very nice view. My girls love to feed the ducks as well. We had a couple frogs on the patio (and one in the bathroom !) when we stayed in this bldg. Kids got a kick out of it.
