Golf Carts At The Camp Grounds

We've booked a golf cart at the Fort Wilderness Camp ground.
At $ 43.00 a day, we'll be staying in a cabin there for 10 days, is the golf cart worth it?

Because of the size of the campground and the location of the cabins, we definitely feel that the golf carts are worth it! We always rent one for our stays at FTW.

I think it really depends on how much time you plan on staying at the campgrounds. We went for spring break in 2003 and didn't use one. It would have been nice to have to get to the main pool, to the campfire at night, and to the boat to the Magic Kingdom but for $43 a day I couldn't justify it. We would have maybe used it 20 minutes a day.....maybe. We took the bus to get to the ferry.
Took a nice walk to the movies and used the pool that was nearest to our cabin. I can think of much better places to use $43 a day. That could be a character meal for one person, 6 pins, two nice shirts(almost), 8 turkey legs or enough to get a good jump start to your next trip. Unless you plan on staying all day at the campgrounds riding around on a golfcart I think it is a waste. The buses run well and will take you where you want to go and they are FREE!!

We always rent a golf cart! It is a wonderful way to enjoy what the campground has to offer and it is really nice after getting off a late-night bus to just hop on the golf cart and ride to your door.

When you rent for more that a week you get a little price break. And if you keep the cart for a few days and decide you don't need it you can take it back. I think you'll love it!!

We have never rented a golf cart either. I can't justify paying as much per day for a golf cart as I do for my site. We alway get a site on the marina end of the park and have easily been able to walk where we wanted to go. The buses seem to be a bit of a hastle especially with a stroller, but we avoid most internal bussing by staying on the marina end. If I need to go back to the Main desk I can take a bus, otherwise no need. Bicycles also work well if you have older kids.
