Info needed on outside company to rent golf cart from. Do they charge for delivery and what rate should I expect to pay. Thanks:thumbsup2

Based on recomendations on this board, I called Tee Time Golf Cart Rentals.

(sorry, you'll have to cut and paste the link into your browser. My post count isn't high enough to enable links)

Kenny quoted me $35 p/day for 7 days, for a total of $245. This is for a rental the week of ThanksGiving, and that is the "Drive Out Price" if you will. Includes tax, and there is no delivery fee.

Kenny also shared with me that he is having to get creative to deliver carts onto FW property. Seems Disney doesn't like the competition, but they won't stop you from going off site and returning with a rental cart. They just don't want the competition delivering on their property. So worst case, I may have to drive offsite and trailer a cart back into FW. As Disney wants almost $65 p/day for their carts, I'd say the juice is worth the squeeze.

With all the other price increases I am surprised the cart fee has not gone up at the fort.

Don't blow up his spot! :rolleyes1 Let's just keep this info to ourselves :ssst: I have been assured that my cart will be delivered, I just don't ask questions :rotfl:

I called Disney today and was told that the offsite golf rentals are now only allowed as far as the parking lot. The cast member put me on hold to research and came back saying that the companies are no longer allowed in the campground proper but you can meet them in the overflow parking area. we will be at the Fort next month.

That seems fair enough. I wouldn't mind meeting someone in the parking lot to pickup a cart.

I know you want to feel totally secure in your transaction, but please don't let Disney know what's going on! I'm glad they say you can meet someone in the lot but we don't want that to be taken away too! Disney has kicked some folks out of there, so I don't know what their official policy is and I'm glad the told you that it's okay to rent from an outside source.

Arriving at the Fort on the 21st. Kenny assured me there would be no problem. I am trusting his word (and that of so many others on the boards who say he is the man!). If you want to hedge your bets, you can reserve one through the Fort. When I was looking into making our rental reservations I stretched the truth and told the reservation specialist I wasn't sure if we would really use a cart now that all of my kids could ride their bikes. She informed me that Disney would charge my credit card for the full amount 24 hours before arrival, but that we could return the cart at any time and get a refund for the unused days.

Just a note about Kenny's carts. They're not the same as they used to be.

I was one of the first people to rent from him after seeing him mentioned on this board. His cart was fabulous! Nice and shiny white with rain screens. I can't recall if there was a rear view mirror or not.

I rented from him 2 weeks ago - during Tropical Storm Debby for a long weekend. The cart seemed to be on the old side, had no rear view mirror, and no plastic rain screens. Granted, it was nice of him to rent it for only 3 days, but I was expecting the same type cart I had in the past.

As well, he is NOT delivering to the parking lot, and I suspect the cast member didn't know what he was talking about. He wouldn't be delivering the cart where he is, and having an employee there 'reading" a magazine, just in case, if he could deliver to the parking lot.

Still, the price was outstanding and I'll definitely use him again. I just wanted to let everyone know that the cart they get may be different than what was decribed previously.

Not sure I understand .. where is he delivering it to?

I just got back from the Fort and had rented a cart from Kenny for 16 nights. I was a beautiful cart with rain shield.
I was very happy and will rent from Kenny anytime we go!!!

I wasn't unhappy at all. I was surprised, as I was expecting the same cart I had in the past, and that you also got. Did yours have a rear view mirror as well?

I suspect because ours was a 3 day rental, he gave me what he had available. Since I was a repeat guest from many years ago, he also gave me an additional discount.

The point of my post was to give people a heads up, particularly if they're renting for a shorter period of time.

I'm going again in Sept and plan on renting from him.

Yes ours had a rear view mirror. Did you mention the issues to Kenny?

No, I didn't. It wasn't a big deal. I will mention it to him because I have another 5 days rental coming up.

But the point of my post was to let others know. Not to complain.
