Golf Cart rentals with 2 toddlers?

Hello, sorry if this has been asked before (I swear I've looked at hundreds of posts and cannot find anything..)

I am thinking of changing my res to a FW cabin, but am concerned about getting around with a 15mth and almost 3yr old. DH will be at a conference on some of the days and I was thinking of just hanging out at FW on those days.

Was thinking of renting a golf cart, but I am worried how this will work with me driving by myself with the two toddlers (younger one is very wriggly).

Has anyone rented a cart from Kenny at Tee Time or Orlando Golf Carts? I would like to know if either of these have seat belts or something to strap DDs down with?
Also, do either have room for a double stroller? (mine is umbrella style, pretty compact as far as doubles go, but still alot bigger than a single)

Thanks

Our three year old is very active, but does well in the golf cart. I think because there is so much to look at. I take her & the newborn in a moby wrap by myself.

I have seen people at the fort with car seats on their carts. I don't know if they rigged them on somehow or if there was a seat belt used.

If it is just the 3 of you I would link that you would have plenty of room to strap the stroller on the back seat (bring some bungee cord so you don't hace to worry about it falling off while you are trying to drive & make sure the kids stay seated). Even with you husband you will likely all be able to ride in the front. 3 yr old in middle, 18 month on passengers lap. that's how we normally ride (I hate riding backwards).

Enjoy your trip!

We have our own golf cart and ride around our farm. We have a 14mth and a 3 year old. My 3 yr old rides in passenger seat and my youngest rides in the middle or we strap their carseats to the back seat and buckle them in place. HTH!

The relevant cart rules for you are that everybody must be on a seat "butts in seats" and the driver can't be holding a youngster in their lap. Oh, an adult passenger CAN (although I would not recommend doing so). As long as the baby is strapped in and seated you will be fine.

Call Kenny and ask about seat belts. Or bring your own bungie straps to hold the baby's car seat in. With three passengers you'll have room for the stroller. Even if hubby is there he can hold it while you drive or visa versa.

This is do-able but make sure you take care of your children.

Thanks for the replies.
I did some investigating and just in case anyone else is wondering, neither Orlando Golf Carts or Kenny's have seat belts. I was told that rental golf carts aren't street legal so none of them will have seatbelts.

I am not really comfortable driving while trying to hold down two toddlers, so I guess golf carts (and unfortunately, Fort Wilderness) won't work this time.

Plan B, switch to Beach Club and walk to Epcot and HS I guess.

If your kids are strapped in their car seats, you can strap the seats into the golf cart with several bungies or a couple of rachet straps. We've done it for years even with the larger seats our special needs kids require. Never lost one yet, althought we lost DW last Christmas who was not strapped in.

I remembered you post & took pictures when we saw a car seat on a golf cart. Hope this helps!

used ratchet straps hooked to seat frame. it worked well when we tried it later.
