golf cart rental or bikes

Hi, I will be camping in april at the Fort. I have stayed in the cabins on different trips but will be tenting this time. I wanted to know if renting a golf cart is the best way to get around for the week or should we bring out bikes. thanks

We love our bikes for exploring the Fort, but after walking around the park all day we prefer the golf cart to take us back to the site. So we take both.

DW and I have been staying at FW for 30 years and have never rented a cart. With our children back then and grand-children now our preference has always been bikes or walking. Now that the marathon and half marathon bug has bitten us, we are just a couple of 61yo geezers who prefer to get the exercise with walking and haven't even taken the bikes the last 5 stays.

Funny how much the golf carting has changed here.. people used to walk or take the buses to get around FW. I can even remember the open trams that used to go through FW. Now seems everyone has a cart. I have to admit they are fun to drive and easy with kids. We have one but still walk to get to the bus or boat. Couldn't have brought 8 bikes with us........
