Golf at WDW

Can anyone tell me what is the best time of the year to play at the Disney golf courses, that the prices are reasonable.???
Really need to know this. I use to be a cast member and have just bought an AP.
So I am not really up on this but I would love to play their courses.
ps. The doggie in the picture happens to be my best friend and I have to have him put down on Monday. I can't stop crying.

I am also interested about golf on Disney. Do you have to be staying at a Disney resort ot access their golf courses? We will be there on Sat. Wahoo!!

I too had to put my long time running partner to sleep in Sept. I cried for a week. It does pass but give your self time to greive and just cry. Wait a bit to replace your pet. Best of luck to you!! I do feel your pain!!

you do not have to be staying to play, but it is more expensive..

cheapest time of year is the summer,, because it's HOT!!! so there are not as many people playing..

Also the latest tee time is usually the cheapest. I think it's called the twilight rate. I think you can find info on this on disneyworld.com.

Tee off after 10AM for the best rates. On-site stay saves a few dollars also. Unfortunately this time of year is the most expensive. (Jan 15-May 1) Rates drop for the summer. Also the five Disney courses vary in price. Osprey Ridge as the highest and LBV the lowest. Twilight rates (2 or 3pm, can't remember) are lower still but the sun goes down around 5pm. Plan on 4.5 to 5 hour round at most times. Hope this helps.

if you ar eor know a DVC memeber they also sell a DVC card for 50 bucks a yr gives you 20% off at any course for one yr. You can have a memeber make the reservations for you and still get the benefit. The best times to play are right now. The course are not crowded and they have twilight rates begiining at 2PM. The DVC member card (I have one) allows me and up to 3 others PLAYING WITH ME special rates AFTER 10am. Does not apply before 10 am. Rates are Jan 15-May 1 $89 per round, May 1- Oct 1 $35, and Oct 1-Jan 15 $50. Does not matter which course. Another big advantage is ability to book tee time a long way out (up to 90 days) . The 20% discount is only on golf instruction at the range.
