Hello :)

Not sure if this is the right board for this, but I am looking for information on the golf resorts are WDW? What are they like? Are they really expensive? My D.Dad and my DH admired them, actually practically drooled over them, when we were driving by them in March. Are you able to purchase gift certificates for people to use? My mom and I thought it might be a nice Christmas present. If anyone has golfed there, or has any info, we'd really appreciate it!

They are very nice, and very, very expensive.

If you will ahve a car, Champions Gate in Davenport and Legends in Clermont would be two much more affordable alternatives--probably about 30% the cost of a WDW course. DH plays Legends pretty regularly and really likes it, and I'm pretty sure that there are a couple DIS'ers who play Champions Gate regularly as well.

Check out Deb will's site for info on summer golfing at WDW...some new price breaks and my spouse made tee times on-line. In summary, prices "sliced" 5/22-9/30 after 10am...green fees which include electric cart are as follows: Magnolia and Eagle Pines...$55, Palm...$49, Lake Buena Vista...$45. Call 407-WDW-GOLF or visit disneygolf (dot)com for tee times. As a side note, the Osprey Ridge course is closed for refurb. Hope your family enjoys playing with the mouse!!!

I've played some of them and they are top notch. In the summer months they are only about $85 a round. That may seem steep but compared to $100 in Chicago where I'm from and $400 and up in Las Vegas its a steal. All the courses are in great shape with impecable service, GPS in the carts, etc... The best thing is theynseem so far away from the hustle and bustle of the parks but are in reality only 5 min. I thinks its a great morning escape from the parks and your husband can meet you later. If your lucky like I am and have someone who will watch the kids then the Ospery Course is very "lady friendly"(the ladies tees are way forward allowing you to hit your drive only 125 yds or so and be even with the mens drives, If you hit it 225 yards you will be left with a wedge to the green, so being a "woman" doesn't slow the ego driven men down. LOL) and you can escape for some fun qualitry time with the hubby.....Have fun...TAZ

There's a reason that greens fees are reduced in some months after 10:00am. Because it's 100 freaking degrees out with 200% humidity! LOL!!

Seriously, you really might want to think twice about playing around midday in July... It hit 92 today, and it's only April...
